Aylin only wanted to be a good mother. A good wife. A good tracker.
A valuable member of her society. Of her pride.

Yet, her deaf ears made her fail as a tracker. Her lack of sound caused her to be a useless member..
and then finally - as a mother she passed her curse onto her dear child of four.

Inside, Aylin's heart broke with remorse and shame - and fear. Broken for her infant who would struggle just as she did. Remorse for thinking she could ever have anything normal and without pain. And fearful that her children would come to resent
her - just as her parents did, her tracking troop...and just about everyone else.

She prayed every night that they would adore her. That they would understand her struggle...and it ate away at her. Oh, did it eat away at her heart.
