I understand if you don't want us to keep spamming the main adopts or nursery. But isn't the contest up to the original poster of the adopt? These aren't meant to be serious, just fun. The random nature of the competitions is why I, personally, like to tryout for them. I just don't see how it's any different from someone posting a bunch of first come first serve or first come first guess adopts. We're not intentionally trying to spam, we just have fun making more adopts for each other to try for. I'm sorry if it comes off that way.

What would make it less spammy to cs staff? We have lots of people try the minute someone posts a new Windaza. Usually there is some sort of hint/thing asked of the adopters. Unless you mean limiting how many times one person can post on an adopt if it's not like... say a guessing game perhaps?

I just don't want them to be closed down, but how loosely we run it might make it difficult to suddenly strap rules onto it.

upon the nature of the chatspeak, it's simply... i guess a 'part' of the Windaza$? the random nature of them, as Winkatuck said, is what gives Windaza$ their charm and difference from most oekaki adopts. i.e; it would turn out like this if they suddenly became serious.

maybe more 'complex' Windaza$ could have prettying-up contests, but, to preserve the silliness of it, a 'make the worst form' way.
or, writing a story as if the Windaza$ would write it, in poor grammar and then 'translated' by the persons. i'll make sure to try and talk to artists about this.

There's no problem with the adopts themselves, it's how the contests are run. It's just a bunch of spam. When everyone's talking with AlTeRnAtInG cApS and !!!11!@!!!!1!, it's ridiculous. The kind of posting on these adopts would not be allowed anywhere else. We keep getting spam reports because there's just no rhyme or reason to the kind of stuff being posted for them. It's exhausting trying to figure out what actually belongs and what is off topic, because it's all off topic as a whole.

Call it no fun allowed if you wanna, but it's just spam. Ways to make it less spammy: don't type like your keyboard's broken, don't have conversations in the adopts (keep all posts forms and judging). Reign it in.

Alright guys, in lieu of recent events, we'll be adding a simple rule that can hopefully cut down on the spam but keep windaza's as fun and silly as they were before.

From here on out, for all adoptions, you are allowed maximum 2 posts on each windaza. This can be for a "form entry", a congrats or to ask for a ru, etc. If you go over your post limit you will be disqualified from that windaza competition AND you will not receive a runner up if you have asked for one. So make your posts count. The only exception for this is guessing games in which the artist specifically states you may guess again or round-like competitions where the artists makes a post for more replies. If you continue to spam a thread after your third post you will be warned and asked to stop. After that you will be reported. This doesn't include asking to be added to color in if you win.

You may still mark this thread or the nursery in any way you like, for right now, we're not taking more offers on artists/guest artists/etc. So please don't ask right now. We may open them back up sometime in the future. But not until things have cooled off a bit.
