Axal enjoys lucid dreaming. This is an interesting fact about him. Every night when he goes to sleep, he keeps his mind awake while his body goes to sleep. It's an intriguing feeling, but what comes next is even more so. He wakes up in a dream world, one that he can create and control. He can become whatever he wants, do whatever he wants, see whatever he wants to see and go wherever he wants to go. He finds it so enjoyable and would even go as far as to say that he enjoys it more than the real world. In his dream world, he can't die. He is reborn if he falls, reborn if he drowns. Outside of lucid dreaming, there are many problems awaiting his attention - in the dream world, he's free and no one can tell him what to do, no one can bring him down. This is what he loves about lucid dreaming.
And yes, lucid dreaming is a real thing.

Extra: A long time ago, in a forgotten age, there were many creatures roaming the land. Birds of the sky, fish of the sea, and many land animals. One of these creatures, was Tiger. Tiger was a fierce animal, with a strong personality. Now, one day Tiger was roaming the jungle, and she came upon Chimera! Chimera was a wild creature with a lion's head, a goat's body, and a serpent's tail. Chimera was mean and ate anyone who came close. Tiger knew this, and she pleaded for Chimera's mercy. Chimera thought for a moment. She could take advantage of this silly animal and then eat her after she did her some favors! So, Chimera slyly told Tiger, "I will let you live, if you bring me something else to eat." Tiger thanked Chimera and ran off to find her something else to eat. She came upon Mouse. Mouse was so small, no one would ever notice she was gone! So Tiger pounced on Mouse and brought her back to Chimera. Chimera quickly gobbled her up. Yet, she was not satisfied. "Go and bring me more food. I am still hungry!" So Tiger went and found Rabbit. She pounced on Rabbit and brought him back to Chimera to eat. Yet she still hungered for more. "More!" she demanded. So, Tiger went and found Wolf. Wolf was small, Tiger could surely overtake him! However, Wolf was too smart. So, when Tiger caught him, he pretended to be caught. Tiger, happy with herself, brought him back to Chimera. Just as Chimera was about to gobble him up, he leaped up from the ground, shouting, "How dare you bring me to the dreaded Chimera!"

Tiger responded in fear, "But, Chimera will eat me if I don't bring her others to eat!"

"You selfish creature," spat Wolf. "You would put yourself before others? Chimera was going to eat you anyways!"

"I was not!" Chimera protested. But Wolf was too smart for her. He replied, "You, Tiger, are a danger to all of us, as much as Chimera is a liar! Curse you both!" Wolf than used his sacred magic to combine Tiger and Chimera into one monster, forced to be together, and feared by all creatures.

Note: I decided to go fable style and make up my own story about the ancient Greek monster Chimera. When you said this was based off of a Chimera and a Tiger, the idea just sparked! I hope you enjoy this little story I made!
