Malina Teresa Tri'Ops • Female

Nicknames;; Mallie, Lina, Teress

When I first chanced a glance at this beauty, the first name to come into my head was Teresa. I have no clue why, it just did! However, wanting to give her a unique name, I decided to go for a spin and found a random name generator, hence coming upon 'Malina'. According to the site, the name is Scottish, but in Russian - me being fluent in that language - it means 'Raspberry', which I found quite cool with the fact that it sort of fits this lovely little dino: I think this is because of her adorable freckles.
I still have this urge to call her Teresa, so maybe Teresa could be her preferred name. Hmm. I shall ponder on this.
As for her surname - I originally called her ''Ops', but felt that it was a tad weird and too short; I'd wamted something snappy rather than 'Triceratops' or 'Cera', because they seem like obvious choices. Hense, 'Tri'Ops' was created, and I feel like it fits Mallie/Teress quite well.

Personality, Tendencies and More

Teresa (that's it, I've decided, she's a Teresa at heart) is quite an average dyno, but she's much calmer and laid-back than others living in her area. Contrary to her sweet, shy/innocent looks, she is feisty, stubborn, and outgoing. If she were to be greeted with a ferocious T-Rex, rather than run away and scream in horror, she'd just stand there, with her mouth gaping, marvelling at it's body structure and colours, as well as other possible additions such as her own horns.
Furthermore, she is extremely curious, and this bodes well - for her anyway - with her adventurous side, always seeking out new places and ending up in some kind of surprised ending, much to the chagrin of dinosaurs such as Gossamer 'Fluffy' Freckles, who'd prefer to keep an eye on not tripping over their own feet than tumble into an unasked-for adventure.
Even with this 'curiosity-killed-the-dyno' personality she heralds, she is always kind and considerate of other's choices, so if one isn't up for an adventure or feels scared, she'll abide by their wishes right away. Friends always come first for her, and it will remain that way.
A tendency of hers is to pick flowers using her nose-horn - she tends to do this when aiding Gossamer on his flower collecting days. She also has a habit of chasing butterflies - due to her almost tree-like colours, she finds it easy to blend in and then pop out at butterflies with any chance she has.
Lastly, a quirk of hers is to click her tongue continuously when she's excited. The quicker the clicks, the more excited she is - though so far, there hasn't yet been a time when she's clicked her tongue so quickly that the sound itself becomes a blur... Hopefully it won't come to that.
Unfortunately, she has a few flaws; one being holding grudges against others. They can last for prolonged periods of time, and for petty reasons such as someone ignoring her. Her moods are also a tad violent - in the event of something happening, her mood can change in a flash, for the bad, or good.

History & Where She Lives

Teresa grew up in an adoptive family; abandoned as an egg, whether purposefully or not, she was taken in by some kind pterodactyls who had already started to help other parent-less dynos find love and comfort. Due to this she was constantly surrounded by different species of dinosaurs - diplodocus', stegosaurus', even the occasional raptor found itself a temporary home there. Though many of the dynos came and went with time, she stayed there, feeling most at home with her adoptive family of different sizes and shapes. Also her favourite ratling lives in a hole under a rock, right beside the family's camp, so she likes it for that reason too.
She lives near the Glittering Caverns - the caves themselves being her favourite thing to explore. Her two friends Eleera and Gossamer live quite nearby to her, so it's the perfect place for the young dynos to meet up in their spare time, which is virtually endless.

Special Abilities and More

~She's become quite adept at climbing, so whenever she wants to reach fruit on tall trees, all she has to do is get a good hold on the bark and shimmie her way up the tree. This may be due to having airborne foster parents, so in order to at least somehow equal their flying capability she has developed a climbing one.
~Has an excellent scent-detecting-nose. She's like the equivalent of some sort of guard dog - even acts like one sometimes, in particular when she gets excited or is serious and alert.
~Is slowly learning how to swim, and getting increasiny better at it. After a mishap near the Plesio Sea, she has been intent on learning and efficiently being able to swim.

Tall Forest - Glittering Cave

North of Plesio Sea and north-east on the map, Tall Forest is a loving area for any long-necked Dynos.

Many caverns stretch beneath the entire Dynoville map, the walls lines with glittering jewels that have given this home its name.

➢ Short Story:
Bea stared down the hole. Sure, she was used to flying through the caverns, but this hole was new. Never in her exploring of the underground caves, the walls lined with pink gems, had she ever found this hole. It was black, dark, and smelled like salt water.
Bea was curious.
She closed her eyes, took a breath, and dove down through the air, straight down into the hole.
Her eyes flicked open as she maneuvered around the stalactites and stalagmites comprised entirely of darker pink gems as she continued downward. The air began to chill. When she reached the bottom, she couldn't see anything. She slowly breathed in, and held her breath.
Bea then let out a small stream of fire, the hot flames escaping her mouth and lighting up the cave.
The walls glowed blue.
Bea was so shocked, her fire extinguished as she squealed with glee. "BLUE?!" she shrieked. "Just like the oasis! I've never seen gems this color before!"
