I make my own dividers for my 10 gallons. I've only had a few problems with them that were caused by me not putting them in properly. I use the black plastic canvases from Walmart. They're about 2 dollars for a pack of three. What were you wondering about?

what can I put in the water or change around my 5.5 gallon tank to destress my betta? He used to love his tank, but lately he seems unhappy. I don't know what I could do to change that. Is there like destress drops or something? I have no idea haha

What is he doing that's making you think he's distressed?

He isn't nearly as active as he used to be. He is always hiding or sitting on the bottom. He has never been like this, and I have had him for a year. He is still eating, but its just strange. I heard bettas can get stressed easily, so I just guessed that was it.

Do you see anything on his scales?
Any white spots, or flaking?
Does he look normal overall?

He could be sick, for one. If he doesn't show any physical signs, what is your water temperature at? Bettas can become less active during colder months. Maybe test the water temperature. When was the last time you changed his tank around? He might be bored with his scenery now, and changing it up a bit could perk him up.

Are you sure it's torn? It could be fin rot. My poor Luna got it a while back. If it is fin rot, then treat the water with salts and keep the tank lights off. (You should also get professional advice)

Hes had fin rot in the past (from his old owner) and from what I can tell it isn't it.
