i pull out the map and check it out before choosing.
"there's some pretty thick overhang further down the trail, so let's go down that way."
i pat Renegade and he lets out a snort of joy.
we continue down the trail.

The wolf snarled and crept forward, circling you until he was blocking the entrance. The wolf stood there with his fur on edge, awaiting your move.

Fierceheart froze in momentary fear. But shes study wolves, she know what certain motions mean so she thought, why not try it? This could easily get her killed, but she signed up for this.
fierceheart slowly lowered herself to the ground, laying downon her back, showing her stomach as a sign of submission. Hoping that in some way, this will work because if it doesn't, well lets just say it wont be pretty.

Renegade sniffs the air and breaks into a run, pulling ahead of you until he was out of sight. You catch up to see that he has stopped at a tree that had fallen so that it was blocking the trail. Renegade barked and looked up at you.

The wolf hesitated for a second almost as if it was analyzing or calculating the situation. The snarling wolf didn't feel that you were a threat or prey, but it wasn't quiet sure what to think of you. He exited the cave, seeming to have no interest in you, but maybe he was still playing the game.
