Maverick
Maverick joined Leon in the cafeteria. He smirked as he watched Leon struggle to read the menu, choosing not to say anything.
Rick studied the menu, and ordered himself a salad. He knew his parents would not want him to eat anything too unhealthy, especially on the first day. Rick's parents had also been strict on his diet, refusing to allow him to eat anything that could cause him to gain weight. Unable to resist the urge, Rick went and picked up a small chocolate bar, placing it on top of the container holding the salad. The idea of getting something sweet pleased Rick. Growing up, Maverick never had that much chocolate - which Rick realised is a sad thought.
Maverick ordered himself a coffee, while grabbing himself a miniature pot of skimmed milk. In the hand empty hand, he grabbed his coffee and went to pay for it. While pulling out his card to pay for his food out of his pocket, Maverick grabbed his phone. He scanned the card over the card holder and put the card away again.
Maverick quickly checked his phone, sighing when he realised nobody had called or texted him. He placed it back into his pocket, and moved out of the way of the cash register. Rick waited for Leon to pay for his food.
Alexandra (Scott)
Alexandra noticed the guy nodding at her in the distance but chose to ignore it, her lip raising into a snarl. Scott returned to finishing her sandwich, while taking a sip of coffee every couple of bites.
Alexandra went back to her email, checking again for contact from her brother. She missed her brother a lot: he was one of the only important person in her life at one point. This time, she found he had emailed her. Scott opened up the email, quickly reading it. Realising it was the usual email, saying things like he missed her, study hard, don't fight and stay sober. Scott sent him a response email that simply read 'I am fine. Don't worry as much. I will message you if I mess this up. ~Scott'.
Closing her email, Alexandra let out a sigh. It was obvious that her brother worried too much. It did not please Alexandra at all; she did not need to be babied by her younger brother. Well, he was only a year younger (and adopted) - but he was still her younger brother.
