I guess it's finally time for this then.

Happy New Year everyone! This marks the birthday of the Tiptails ^.^ I'd like to take a bit of time to reflect on my year, and to finally release the little blurbs I wrote about each of the Tiptail's tail tips way back when I first decided what they would be.

So... 2015 was the worst year of my life, hands down. Two people who I cared about died, I lost even my friendship with my female fiancee who I'd known for over half of my life and loved for four years, I failed all of this past semester's college courses I was taking besides two because my fiancee breaking up with me came at a horrible time and I just couldn't do anything for a week after it. And... don't even get me started on how horrible I was with the Dralons for most of it.

But... there were some highlights. I released the Tiptails, Cordtails and Manetails as well as adaptations. I got to see my male fiance for the first time in April, and then two more times after that. My sister got married in June. And I think I've finally started to get over my social anxiety, mostly because of all the crap that happened and the fact that running from things doesn't make them go away.

I'm relieved that this year is over. I don't think I'll ever look back on most of it fondly, but it played it's part in shaping my future. And... I did get to see Chris for Christmas. That meant a lot to me and is a lot of the reason why I've found the muse to make more Dralons lately. My writing muse is still a different story, but anyways, I've babbled on about me long enough, time to babble on about the Tiptails XD

Tiptails went through a lot of changes before I decided on their tails changing monthly. At first it was going to be seasonally, and at one time it was even down to weekly. That would have been absolutely horrible with the way this year went. Anyways, the tips on a Tiptail's tails are not just random. I was... actually kind of hoping people would be excited for them and try to predict which ones would come next and stuff, but that's okay. Some day, maybe next year, I'll show you guys the page with all the sketches and crossed out possible tail tips XD And names. I nearly called them 'Monthtails' until I decided to make the fact that they changed secret at first XD

But, without further ado, here's all the Tiptails secrets. May's... does indeed refer to my ex. I regret how much I tried to immerse my world with reminders of her since we couldn't be together in person. It makes getting over her harder. But, anyways. Here we go, unchanged since the day I wrote it over a year ago.

Tiptail meanings

January - January's Tiptails do not in fact have a tip on their tails XD It's to symbolize newness, celebrate the new year, the new type, etc. I also chose to not have a tip on them this month so I could surprise you guys with how they work next month XD

February - February's is pretty straight forward at first, a heart for Valentine's day. They also start off the card suit collection of the Tiptails though, with a different card suit every three months.

March - March starts off the seasonal collection of the Tiptails, with a raindrop. It symbolizes the beginning of spring, the melting of snow, and the lifegiving rain needed to make the flowers and crops grow.

April - April is a raincloud, part of that saying that April showers bring May flowers. It symbolizes the continuation of spring's efforts to make the plants grow, and is a part of the third collection of markings, which are just misc ones that I thought worked well with the month.

May - May is not a flower as you may have expected, but a diamond. Card suits happen every three months, but May's is special in another way. May is the month that my fiancee proposed to me, with a diamond ring. There's references to her all throughout the Dralons if you look for them XD

June - There's the flower ^.^ June's Tiptails represent summer, when everything is bright and hot and covered in flowers. It's a bit of an unusual tail tip in that it's mostly the base colour instead of the eye colour. June also happens to be my birth month.

July - July is another misc Tiptail, stars this time, representing the warm summer nights of July, the perfect time for stargazing. It also represents the fireworks set off at the begining of the month for both The Fourth of July and Canada Day.

August - August is the card suit clubs. It also reminds me of the wild clovers that grow everywhere here and how when I was a kid I'd spend summer days searching for a four leaf one. There won't be any four leaf club Tiptails though XD

September - September is another part of the seasonal collection, for fall or autumn, and is a leaf as you might have expected. I made it a maple leaf because I'm Canadian and there happens to be quite a lot of maple trees around here.

October - October celebrates Halloween, as you might have guessed. I chose a moon because the holiday mainly happens at night, and because of werewolves, a popular Halloween costume, although the Tiptail's moons aren't full ones XD

November - November is the last of the card suit Tiptails, the spades. I gave spades to November because it's always seemed like the inverse of hearts to me. November is one month before the end of the year, whereas February, which has hearts, is one moth after the beginning.

December - December is a snowflake, fitting for the last seasonal Tiptail and the month itself, where millions of people around the world hope for a snowy white Christmas.
