Serenche FactsThe Serenche Lartin's is extremly shy, it would be weird if you even saw one of them.
However, one day a farmer met one of these creatures, and the Serenche trusted him
After that, more Serenches have appeared around, showing themselves
Now, you may even be able to adopt one.About the species:The species was created when I was drawing a random picture, but then decided to create a fantasy species. It then evolved long ears, longer legs and smaller paws. It got a mane, fur on the backside of the paws and for the male, fur on the belly. They also have two feather who grows from somthing that looks like a string. This shows the age of the Serenche, if it's close to the tail it's a young Serenche. The tail is longer than most wolves/cats which makes it look rather impressing.
The jaw is very special, because it is like a snakes jaw. Not outside, but inside. Long, sharp teeth with poison stored inside them. Their tongue is like a snakes too, long with a split at the end. You might believe that the Serenche pups will die when being carried by their parents, but the Serenche's have fought each other with the poison many times and have grown immune against the poison themselves. The poison is mainly there to help them kill off their prey.
Note that I have never made adoptables of a fantasy creature before, and I haven't adopted any either... So if your own species is alike mine... Count it like we thought of the same species >.> 'Cause I haven't copied anyone.
FoodWhat food do they eat? Well, they eat a lot... Trust me. One of the things they like is cookies! (x3 Wrote a story for school where I wrote about how they were discovered ^^ Just wrote that the two people that walked in the woods gave it a few cookies and it liked it... Might write it up here, it depends

) Another of the things is meat, like many other canines. They like any kind of meat, especially mice and small rodents. They enjoy fishing too, however it's rather rare that you manage to see them fish.
Like I said at the top, they really like cookies! They don't get to eat it a lot, but many Serenches befriend humans by getting a cookie from them. Only a few Serenches have been given cookies though, and all the Serenches know that most humans would kill them in a instant, since they think they kill their sheep.
LandThe Serenches live in Amazonas, in the deepest, darkest parts of the forest. It's mostly why no one has managed to to see them clearly. No one, absolutely no one has managed to take a picture. And no one ever will. There are drawings though, the first human to see it made a sketch of that Serenche. A few other humans believes they exist, and maybe they even own one?
They live in the parts of Amazonas named Syegaria, where almost no human has walked before. That's why it's named 'The land of Syegaria'
Breeding?Yes, like every other animal the Serenches have to breed to not go endangered. The Serenches can have up to three pups in a litter, it's rare if you have one more than that. You are not, however, available to choose the number yourself. You can't choose how many pups your dog is gonna have, can you? Well, the same goes for the Serenches.
A female can normally have one litter each two months, and you decide yourself when on the month you want her to have them. The female go a week pregnant and then they give birth to *insert number of pups here*. The male usually is fiercly protective of his family, especially the first few days. After those days have passed he goes hunting for the family and himself.
It's really rare that a male wanders and simply finds a female just to breed with her. If so, the Serenche have to be very evil, or non-loving. There is a few who is like that, but most Serenches is with their mate all their life.
A female is usually dominant when finding a mate, if she doesn't like the male or doesn't trust him she most likely won't breed with him either. The male tries to stay around her and calm her down, and if they end up liking each other they will be together forever, most likely. In some rare cases a pair might break up, but it's unlikely.
Social LifeThe Serenches isn't the most social creatures, they usually don't go in pack and only goes with their mate and/or pups. There is only a few packs, with few members, but they most likely stay loyal to each other. The ranks is usually one alpha, one beta, one delta and two omegas + pups. When the pups grow up they either form a pack on their own or they go apart.
The pups almost NEVER stay in their parents pack, since there isn't room for them.
The Discovery of the Serenches(Note; This was written for a english writing task, just making up something. This was after I had created the species, since my task was to write about a new fantasy species in the Amazonas forest ^^ I got top score (6 out of 6) but lets see what you guys think x3)
I was out in the Amazonas jungle 2 years ago with my friend Johannes Lakedale who lives in London close to my home. He is a great friend you know, since he dared to come with me. We were looking for a new animal speciesthat people in the city Thatagouwa had been talking about. Some of the people had been really frightened, and some of them had even seen it on close hold.
Amadeus Hoshika was the only human that had seen parts of the animal before us. He told me that it kinda looked like a canine with long tail, long legs and long ears! he told us the ears looked like bat ears. he hadn't seen the creature after that and wondered if it was just his immagination. Other people have seen it too, but not the whole creature. It's told that the creature eat their cow herds and they can't stop it at all.
I and Johannes bought some items for our trip and then marched into the forest, eager to learn about the new species. We walked for a while, before we settled beneath a tree. Johannes was joking a bit, telling some common english jokes. I laughed, but I really wasn't interested in the jokes. I was looking for the creature.Suddenly I saw something move quickly through the branches of the tree. "Johannes! Look!" I whispered, pointing at the tree where I had seen the movement. "There's nothing there now." Johannes mumbled and ate a cookie. I sighed, dissapointed. Suddenly the creature was standing right in front of us, curiously looking at the cookies. I carefully picked up one and placed the cookie in my hand, stretching forward. The creature tipped it's head, but soon a tongue shot out from it's mouth. It snapped the cookie from my fingers and the creature leaped up into the trees above.
I was amazed, it clearly was a mix, or hybrid of many other species. It soon came down again, its long snake like tongue licking it's jaws. I grabbed another cookie and the creature grabbed it with it's tongue again. This time, it didn't vanish into the trees.
I watched it for a while, then i asked if Johannes could give more cookies to it. he nodded and didn't argue while I got my note book. I sketched up the looks of the creature, careful to get every detail. Johannes poked when I was finished and whispered: "We don't have more cookies!" The creature suddenly vanished, and didn't appear again. "I suppose it was hungry..." Johannes sighed and pack up our bags. I nodded and carefully laid the drawing of the creature into my backpack. At the way back, we saw a bear, chasing after the city farmer's cow herd. Now I knew that the creature wasn't responsible for the loss of the cattle. The farmer soon came out with a gun and shoot the bear. I sighed and turned away, not wanting to see the poor, dead animal.
A few days later we were home again, on our way to report about our findings. I and Johannes had named the creature Serenche Lartin, or Serenche for short. I presented the creature proudly, but no one believed me. They said I needed a real photograph, not a drawing. I was furious,, both me and Johannes had seen it, but they still didn't believe it.
We soon left, without managing to convince the other scientists. The trip had been useless then. I shook my head slightly. It wasn't, not to me. I had seen the creature once, why can't I see it again?
I grabbed my camera and traveled back, convinced that I would some day manage to prove the existence of the Serenches. The new, shy species.
Today I have been in the Amazonas jungle for six months, I have seen the Serenches, but I haven't photographed it yet. I'm afraid everyone would want to go see the species, so I think they will remain hidden and undiscovered. I have met the same Serenche multiple times now, I have named her Fallen. She's white and gray, and friendly natured. I have learned so much from her, what they eat and how they live. Maybe, one day I will show them to the world, but for now they will remain hidden, until the
night time has come.
(Night time is a sacred time which hasn't come yet, but there's a few people who have actually seen it besides the I-person in the story. And that, is you :3)
