zinnia and ashfur laid outside, fernkit and cinderkit stumbling rather clumsily around the she-cats. ashfur flicked her tail, sadness clouding her eyes as she remembered the two kits would never know she was their mother.

"thank you for taking care of them.." ashfur whispered to the white she-cat, who purred.

"ashfur, you haven't stopped thanking me. it's fine, honestly." zinnia laughed softly, watching cinderkit tackle fernkit.

I curl up in my nest noticing how tiered I was. I look over at Ashfur's nest and decided to wait for her.

"you three should head off to the nursery and get some sleep." she meowed, before padding off to the warrior den. she saw ravenpelt and purred, curling up in her nest beside him.
