Evelyn heard banshee and turned thankfuly. As she turned a smile lit up her face "oh thank god, he won't shut his mouth" she hurried to Banshee

Banshee gently takes the baby in his arms stroking over his head and it goes quiet. "Have you searched this place?" Banshee looks around at the abandoned tavern.

"Evelyn!" Oliver called out, avoiding having to look at Banshee. "Never thought I'd be asking you this, but what's happening?!" With her radio having been broken earlier in the day, she hadn't caught news of the attack, except from what she'd seen. "And where is everyone?" Oliver zeroed in her gaze from the odd pair of people, to the baby they held.

"Its all going to hell. The Deadly Assassins have moved to our base, the bride is already tehre." Banshee nods at Evelyn and holds the baby against his chest. "The nobles have attacked the slums again since weve been starting to make peace."

"You honestly expect me to believe that, Banshee? That the Bride, who's quicker to slit someone's throat than make friends, decided to make peace with another gang. And one led by a man, such as yourself?" Oliver spat. "No, I asked Evelyn. You know, the one who hasn't tried to kill me in the past?" She turned to the girl, with a raised eyebrow.

Evelyn looked at her slightly shocked. "No, it's true. There is an alliance now. And I guess we have a child now." Evelyn presses a button on her belt and her wings retracted into their pack.She silently wondered in the police were looking for her. She smiled to Oliver "we could be flatmates!"

"Yes, we could be flatmates, if I was sure the two of you weren't taking advantage of the chaos to lure someone of an opposite gang into their own base to be outnumbered." Oliver said, this time in a voice closer to monotone, as she judged the situation. "But given the strange case of... whoever's orphaned street urchin that is, I suppose this might not be the average situation." She watched the girl's wing's with hidden fascination, not having seen them before.

Banshee even paused as he noticed the mechanical wings fold away rather annoyed he'd been trying to get them of Ratwheel for months. He looked at Evelyn a frin under the mask
"If you don't believe me about that you'll never believe me about who's child this is.."

Evelyn looked at banshee curoisly. Did she dectect a hint of jelocy? "Whos baby is it?" She didn't actually know, she just followed orders to collect it. She wondered if it was a noble baby and the police were searching for it.

"Then don't bother telling me. Now where is your base? Please tell me it's not in as stupid of a place as the rooftops themselves," Oliver questioned, prefering to take her chances with what they said. Any gang would normally be smart enough not to lead someone to their base, not when that person could be in constant touch with the rest of her gang. But if what they were saying was true, they might have assumed by now that Oliver was out of communication with her gang, to not be knowing what was going on at this point.
