I agree! I absolutely loved the episode, I mean it wasn't really what I had expected, but I'm still happy with it. I'm not happy about having to wait till February to see the next episode.
-I have to agree >.< Sam did nothing but annoy me this episode, I mean I understand, he's a little kid he's scared, but it's like you'd think he would understand he has Rick, Carl, Michonne, and his mom and brother there with him, he's probably going to turn out okay.-

Did anyone else like Carl in this episode? I mean outside of the -fight he had with Ron and him covering for him as well.- But did anyone else think he was okay this episode?

Damn! This episode was just confusing and mind-blowing, I just couldn't handle it sometimes. especially since my dad kept coming the room to ask about bills. I have so much things on my mind right now, I can't even explain it unless you want a few transparent paragraph.. Okay, in tiny text then.

I don't want to recap the whole episode like they do in the articles, but I guess I'll just say it how I thought it was like. First, the strange Sam beginning with the cookie and ants. Gross! Wasn't expecting that, it was creepy and exhilarating though. Andrew Lincoln seemed to be thrilled reading through that part of the script, you can't mind his devilish thinking. It brought a chill through my spine when that creepy when that Insidious-version of Tiny Tim's song came up, oh my god.. Who knew it would play in most scenes of the episode? I can tell you that seeing Rick and Jessie together again didn't make me cringe as much as it did before, they were actually doing something useful for once. I agree Mystery, Carl was okay and that line about Ron's father that ended into the break was amusing. Everyone was okay this episode, to be honest. When Deanna was dying slowly, that was so sad, but all deaths are sad, even though she was quite humorous and sort of an unnecessary character to me but eh she pulled off this episode pretty great. Yeah, Sam was really annoying at the end of the episode. Even as a child, when will he realize that this is real? When will Jessie stop trying to protect him from reality? He needs to grow up, I mean look at Carl. He was pretty much a mature kid throughout the years, in an irritating but good way.

EUGENE! UGH! That was him on the walkie talkie, of course. Who knew He's really awkward, and nobody would expect him to scream really loud or squeaky when he needs help, and he was in a rush so a small "help" was enough. That probably confused Sasha, Abraham and Daryl. Also, did anybody see the scene when they bump into a particular group? Makes me really excited. Anyways, back to Deanna for a few second.. Those speeches she made, probably made her death harder for Michonne and Rick to deal with. Remember episodes before they all wanted to take over this place? Well, Rick was thinking about it. I guess you can say they got their wish, in a harsher way then expected though. Now, Carol's badass side just kicked in a little too much.. Who knew she would start fighting with Morgan over for some dumb and just generally obnoxious wolf. Why? Morgan, you need to step it down a little. I felt bad for Denise the whole time, why did she had to go through all this.. You can tell that she wasn't ready! Now she's probably been killed or she's gonna die out there anyways, unless the group can figure a way out. All these wolves man, have to ruin everything. Ron and Carl's fight was intriguing at first, but pointless when nobody found out about it. I was expecting Ron to just shout it out, but all lies. Somebody they'll be caught from their jealousy over Enid, but now they're both innocent for now. Speaking of Enid, or just speaking of Glenn.. Maggie's pregnant!

I was really happy at that moment, but it was pretty much a fact an episode ago but I don't care. I can't wait until Rick finds out, but this would add on to the danger for Judith and the unborn baby, right? Now this is a hard one. But Enid pointing a gun at Glenn sure showed him his over-protective/fatherly side, he's definitely ready. But why does everything has to come out with a negative income? Can't there be happiness or is it still gonna be stuck in the horror of not seeing Daryl with his crossbow? I guess the second option. Eh, any other thoughts?

      Instead of big transparent thingy-
      Tiny text, yay xD

Regarding your first paragraph: I'm glad someone else agrees with my on Sam. But with the ants, while that was gross, I sort of realized what they were trying to do. The ants were supposed to symbolize how many walkers there were going to be in Alexandria, gross, but it was a really cool way to show how many there were going to be. Anyway, back to Sam..I find his character to be a bit pointless. A lot of people are going to be comparing him to Carl's younger self back in the first two seasons, but the problem is, there's absolutely no similar traits with those two characters at all. Because Carl, even when he was younger, he knew that the walkers were bad and he knew to stay quiet when it came to them, Sam, because he's been locked away for so long behind the walls doesn't know any better. He just needs to grow up, and Jessie needs to stop babying him. She reminds me a lot of Lori in season 1, constantly babying Carl, I mean I understand that it's her youngest son, but in this world he needs to grow up. I found his line about Ron's father to be amusing as well honestly, that and Deanna's line when she found out she was bit.

Moving onto the group, I agree. I'm so excited to be introduced to the Saviors [that's their name in the comics] and Negan himself. Onto Deanna. I never really cared for her character, she couldn't shoot a walker in the head until she was dying, she was just one of those characters that annoyed me. Needless to say, while her death was sad for Michonne and Rick, she wasn't a character I got to know really like we have Rick's group, so I wasn't all that sad for her to die, since I felt like someone had to die this episode, I just wasn't expecting it to be her.

Onto the fight. I agree, it was a bit interesting to have the fight, and it made up for their slap fight they pretty much had a few episodes ago. But, needless to say it was pointless when Ron and Carl both covered for each other. I find that to be stupid, honestly. I wish Carl would have told someone, maybe not Jessie and just spit it out right then and there, but maybe do a heads up to Rick. I wish he'd just pull his dad aside and be like, "Okay, maybe lets watch out for Ron considering he wants to kill me." because eventually like you said, they will get found out eventually if Ron doesn't die in the next episode in 2016. And that will just be bad, because eventually it will probably get one of them killed at some point.

On another note: Was anyone else expecting the mid-season finale to be the way it was? I wasn't expecting it. I was expecting Jessie to die this episode honestly, and Carl to get his eye shot out too. But I guess with Sam saying "Mom" I have a feeling Jessie will die like she did in the comics next episode with Sam as well, and maybe Carl will lose his eye to Ron. There have been some predictions like this for the next episode from the spoiling dead on Facebook.

I'm prepared for violent deaths, but not as violent as the comics. Ron and Carl might both get hurt, but Ron doesn't even know how to shoot a gun properly and that fight was just cringe-worthy. Glenn may not be beaten by a barbed wire from Negan, or Carl gets shot in the eye. But Lauren Cohan did say there was going to be more crying and sorrow more in this season than 5, so maybe it's more of a character leaving than dying in the show? I heard that Alanna Masterson, a.k.a Tara is pregnant and rumours say that she might be too busy to continue on with the show. But then again, Sonequa Martin-Green was pregnant as well, a.k.a Sasha, and she's still here. But I expected the episode to be like this, maybe not the ending because that was a tad bit boring.

hmm i have a lot of thoughts about the mid-season finale, but mostly i'm just apprehensive, i think... needless to say, there really is a lot going on in alexandria right now, so much so that it's completely overwhelming. to be honest, part of me almost wishes rick's group could just find some perfect little safe haven to live out the rest of their days in, happily ever after, but... i also realize that's completely unrealistic, and it certainly wouldn't make for a very exciting tv series, lol.

...and tiny text for spoilers ;^)

probably what was most upsetting for me in the last episode was deanna's death. i liked that she kind of sacrificed herself to kill the walkers in the very end, but... that's about it. i honestly don't see why, on the talking dead, they said that deanna simply wouldn't be able to adjust to the way the world had become in enough time. though the general consensus among twd fans seems to be that deanna's death was a good thing, or at the very least unavoidable, so perhaps i'm just the odd one out here. don't get me wrong though, i can't blame anyone for not liking deanna. i can see why; she definitely has her faults, and even i didn't really like her at first. but she's really managed to grow on me, especially in these last few episodes.

because in my opinion, out of all the alexandrians, deanna was actually one of the ones who was most equipped to deal with how harsh the world had become. while most alexandrians were fearful of rick's group and didn't know if they could be trusted, deanna was one of the first to realize that alexandria wouldn't last without rick's leadership. when other alexandrians have been shown to cower in fear at the sight of a walker, deanna showed her bravery when she attacked a walker with a broken bottle - yes, yes, i know it's ridiculous that she didn't even know that you have to get them in the head to really kill them, but that's something that can easily be taught; the courage that it takes to come face-to-face with a walker? not so much - case in point: sam.

sure though, i'll admit that she definitely lived a sheltered life in comparison to most other characters on twd, and especially in the beginning, she was a huge obstacle preventing rick and his group from making the changes necessary to truly keep alexandria safe. but i feel like she really changed, or at the very least, she was coming up on the middle of a redemption arc of sorts right before her death. i really would have liked to be able to see the rest of her character development through, but unfortunately that just won't be possible. in the end, i think she really fits the archetype of the tragic hero, who realized her fatal flaw only when it was already too late to do anything about it.

but aside from all of that... i did really like carl in this past episode - but to be fair, i enjoy seeing carl in every episode that he's in, lol. though i think the contrast between him and the other children at alexandria - sam, ron, and enid - really helps to emphasize just how much he's grown throughout the series. especially when you look at how young and... almost helpless, that he used to be, it's undeniable that he's matured into an entirely different person almost. i've got to say, along with carol, he's definitely had the most interesting and significant character development, in my opinion.

one of the things i didn't really enjoy in this episode though, was all of the love triangles. i guess there's only just a small number of pairings that i actually care for in twd, and the rest i either sort of dislike or just don't really feel one way or the other about. i actually think i kind of like sasha and abraham, though... but rick and jessie, or carl and enid, not so much....

Sasha and Abraham are really interesting together, and I can see how you can find them cute as a couple. But they were sort of teasing each other was because they were literally stuck with each other, they both had a job to do but I guess one of them volunteered, but not like they wanted to but they needed to. They don't communicate with each other that much, but they do seem like good friends already.

I have to agree with most of what you said about Deanna, I guess I didn't mind her in some situations, but she had too many things that annoyed me to where I didn't like her. I dunno, we'll have to see though.

Since it has been at least two days since the original air-date now, small text and transparency are no longer needed unless you feel like you should ^^ therefore I will not be using it in my post so if you have yet to see the mid-season finale, spoilers ahead.

Moving on, I have to agree with you on Carl. I personally enjoy seeing Carl in any episode minus the one episode with that tree scene, but that's me being a Carl girl, lol. Anyway, comparing him to all the other three kids, it is easy to see that Carl is rather mature compared to the others, and maybe that is because Ron and Sam have had a life inside the walls and Enid just wont stay in one place or let anyone in, I don't know, but it is very easy to tell the differences between the four kids on the show.
I have to agree with you on the love triangles. Jessie and Rick doesn't bother me all that much,
[mainly becaus I know that Jessie probably will die sometime soon..] and Sasha and Abraham doesn't both me all that much either but, it sort of depends for me, I'm not a huge Abraham fan and so I personally don't mind what happens with Abraham. The main relationship that bugs me is Carl and Enid, maybe because I'm a Carl girl, or maybe because I just don't like Enid, but I don't think one of those are the reason. I feel like Carl doesn't need a relationship, even if he's had several in the comics, I don't think Carl needs one to mature, or even to have his character grow more. In my own personal opinion, I think that if Carl got a girlfriend, it wouldn't end well probably, because he would be a teenager in love. I'm sure a lot of us know how our first love was, or have at least had a friend we've seen have a first love, maybe even on television. I just think it would put a damper on his character, in all honesty but, maybe that's just me..
