OKAY I've been doing some thinking, and random sketching, and plus cats are a pretty good base for anything and everything so three quick questions about Viscet biology:
Do Viscets hiss or growl or 'aeiou' (still not sure how that translates to written language) or make some kind of other sound? Because I personally find hissing scarier than growling and that would just be really cool.
What shape are Viscet tongues? Like I've seen rounded tongues, but I kind of personally thought they were pointed.
This one is kind of weird, but do they purr? That would be ADORABLE OMG

Good questions, very interesting thoughts. I've really never given it a whole lot of thought.
I'd imagine since viscets are a mix between raptors, kangroos and otters (initially I believe that was the idea) that the noises made by either of those three would work.
I always imagined their tongues rounded myself, but I've not see any official images with their tongues out, but who knows.
And I have to admit purring would be adorable, though I don't know if they could(since viscets aren't based off any cat species that I know of). Since only some species of felines can do that, and some larger cat species can't even roar or purr. But Strudel taught me something interesting about some big cats, I know tigers (and snow leopards too) can do this and it's called "chuff", and it's about as close as big cats get to purring.

I think you mean yowling. But since viscets are a combination of raptors and ferrets, I think they would growl and roar (keep in mind they're very large creatures). The tongues are debatable, but I'm pretty sure they're round. As adorable as purring would be, I don't think they would.

They can hiss, bark, growl, snarl, but they can't really howl, they'd just kinda make loud bird screams.
Imagine the lovechild of a canary and a carnatour.
I LOVE IT
