WOAH! Did you guys just see that flash across the sky? I snapped a picture of it, that was crazy! Uploading, one sec!

edit: Okay, here's the picture!!

They look like some kind of shooting stars? Or meteors or comets or something! They lit up the whole sky with so many colors, I heard them crash down about a mile from my house. Should I go check it out?! What do you guys think??

A flashlight was a very good idea. It's so dark out, I can't even see my hand waving in front of my face.
But the horizon is absolutely radiant, it's glowing with like a thousand colors. It looks like the Northern Lights, almost. I snapped a quick picture for you guys, but it doesn't really do it justice. It's amazing.

I'm gonna keep moving forward. Wish me luck!

Well, I managed to drop my flashlight and it clicked off. It's lost in the grass somewhere, but I'm nearly there, so at least I can kind of see. The air feels...charged, like before a thunderstorm, y'know? It feels like it's buzzing with energy. I'm so nervous. I can see a light pink glowing thing, so I'm heading toward it.

(I tried to take a photo but it didn't really come out well. I'll update you guys when I get closer.)

edit: Nearly there, I think it's one of the comets I saw. It looks like a huge boulder. Please don't be full of aliens, please don't be full of aliens...
