Yeah, it used to air when I was a kid.. Literally the earliest childhood memory was me watching the original Dr who. I have started watching them again now. The original daleks and cyberman are the best.
There's a Doctor who festival coming up where I am and the ticket prices are so expensive ($200 for adult and $100 for under 16s). I really want to go because its Australias first Dr who festival and Billie Piper and Peter Capiladi is going. I'm going to save up money so hopefully they will have one next year.
I'm surprised that no one is talking about the recent episodes. Rest will be in transparent and in small font.
{Every episode has been double episode so far, I'm not sure what to think about that but it's interesting. I loved Maisie Williams episodes, 'The girl who died' and 'The women who lived', those are now my favorite episodes. }
[Ooh I loved those episodes too! ♥ Although, I think my current favorite is probably the most recent one, The Zygon Inversion. I thought that Peter was in excellent form as was Jenna. ♥ I loved Clara's role and man all the references for her eminent death really upsetting me. XD I really don't want her to go! I love Clara! ♥ ]
@MewForever ~ Accepted! Welcome aboard the TARDIS! ♥ So...I'm guessing that you've seen from...either The Impossible Planet/Satan's Pit to The Zygon Inversion or from Planet of the Ood to The Zygon Inversion. I'm pretty sure it's The Impossible Planet/Satan's Pit episodes to now since you've obviously seen Rose. XD
Okay, so I'm super excited right now! ♥ I have a chance to meet my people! And by my people I mean fellow Whovians in my area! ♥
A local public library in my area is hosting a 52nd Anniversary celebration! ♥
Here's the description:
Who celebrates the 52nd Anniversary of anything? Doctor Who fans! Join us the day after the 52nd birthday of Doctor Who to celebrate the Greatest Show in the Galaxy!
We'll have a panel discussion about the history of Doctor Who Fandom in [name of my city]. Panelists include the founder of the original [name of my city] Doctor Who Fan Club, a [name of my city] area Whovian from England, and representatives of the different generations of Doctor Who fans. Then we'll open the floor to people to share their own experiences as Doctor Who fans.
Show up to celebrate our shared love of Doctor Who and our geographical proximity to [name of my city]!
Costumes welcome! In fact: Costume Contest with prizes!
Costume Contest 7:15 PM
So, I'm super uber excited about this! ♥ I didn't find out about it until today, so I'm scrambling to come up with a costume, however! I found a solution! ♥ I can be Sarah Osgood! :3 I have the right hair color, the weight, it'd be easy to take a white collared dress shirt from my days in the FFA and draw red question marks on it. I can borrow my mom's inhaler device (without the medication inside), wear my glasses or find glasses similar to hers for cheap. I can do this! ♥ This is my first time cosplaying, so this ought to be fun. XD
I'm kinda scared though because this library happens to be located downtown in my state's capital and downtown anywhere is scary at night, but at least I'll have my twin brother there to protect me as we walk for approximately 5 to 6 minutes at night to the Light Rail! ♥ Maybe I'll get luck and make some new friends there and they'll be willing to walk with us too. I feel like the more people that are with us, the safer we'll be. ^^;
