Oliver laughed, raising her hand in a gesture of agreement towards Ratwheel. "He's absolutely right." She said in response the the first half, before rolling her eyes teasingly at the second, and nodding. "He's right about that too, I won't tell what's between us and Ratwheel." She studied Evelyn a bit closer. "You know, that's one of my favorite names- "Evelyn."
Oliver smiled. "Of course, its hard to maintain a steady life down here without a little blood on our hands. Still, most of us don't go slaughtering everyone we see without reason, despite whatever you might hear. We kill those who are asking for it." She said, putting a hand on Evelyn's shoulder. "I'm sure you'll find you're not above that; you've got a bad bone in you somewhere."

Evelyn smiled "Its good to know there are people I can trust." she took a sip of her wine "Well your going to have to thank my parents for my name" she smiled with a hint of sadness. "You remind me of a friend I had when I was little"

"Heh, tell me about her." I laughed. I assumed Evelyn's parents were dead of course- surely she would have gone crying to them first before taking to the streets. But perhaps she could pass some time with the stories about her friend. "I bet I could kick her sorry ass in a fight anytime." I grinned.

Evelyn smiled remembering her childhood fondly "Well she was tall and slender. Her hair was much longer than yours however" She looked at Oliver "Oh how she could ride. She was fearless but very judgmental. She would always put you in your place. but she was a good person" Evelyn drifted off in her memories

Rawheel seemed quite content to listen too the two girls listen, infact at some point the roseycheeked man had fallen asleep in his complex chair.

"Riding horses?" I smiled. "Its funny, you upperclass, always wanting to keep the old ways, cherishing them like they're sentimental. I guess if you could afford that mode of transportation, why not look regal and put yourself up high?" I looked back at you. "So what's become of her now?"

Evelyns smile disappeared "She drowned when I was 15. She was riding a big bay horse by the river. The horse was young and spooked by a bird. It reared unto a tree. She hit her head on a branch and fell into the river. We never found her..."

"Sorry about that, kid." I gave an apologetic frown, and patted your back. "It's hard, dealing with stuff like that." I said, as my mind raced to peace together her story. So she hadn't always been in the city, it seemed. It made a bit more sense, even for a high class girl she was a little naive.
