(gtg soon, as in very soon! bedtime is 8:30 unfortunately for me [yeah, being a sixth grader sucks sometimes], so i'll make up for these horrible posts tomorrow. c; )

zay smiled. "yeah, we rodeo sometimes, but we're no good most of it. it'd be great if you taught us somethin'," he chuckled as he thought of lucas' experience with judy the sheep. he himself had done a few rodeos, but none had been particularly good, save a few.

maya walked over as riley did, waggling her fingers in greeting. "sup, i'm maya. you don't look me in the eye," she grinned to show it was meant to be a playful and sarcastic greeting.

After I took my seat I was soon greeted by a smiling girl. I smiled back and replied, "I'm Amber, nice to meet you Riley." This new school was turning out to be better than I had expected it to be. I nodded back at Zay in reply to his comment, "Y'all ever want a lesson on anything let me know. You can even ride my Shogun if you so desire it." As Riley walked over, another girl followed behind her. I could tell she was a fiery spirit just by her greeting. I tipped my hat to her, "Howdy Maya, and yes ma'am," I knew she was joking so I decided to play along, "I'm Amber by the way." These people were my type of people and this new place was starting to feel more like home already.

"I like that name." Riley smiled. "You'll do great here!" She gave her a thumbs up. Whoops! she though, looking towards Maya. "Anyways, she's right. You don't look her in the eye." She said, standing by Maya.

she smiled. maya had already taken a liking to this amber girl, and she nodded her head. her first thought of amber, however, was, female huckleberry! "riley, do you see what i see?" she grinned excitedly, eyes lighting up. "hey huckleberry! come over!" she ran over to lucas, dragging him over by the arm. "look what i found! female huckleberry! i found a female huckleberry, friar! say hi!" she came to a halt at amber and the gang. "my life is complete."

zay grinned. "thank you, ma'am," he smiled at her warmly, "i'll take a note of that when i ever need to," he nodded amiably. he fiddled with his hoodie strings as he laughed slightly as maya's eyes lighted up and she dragged lucas over. "maya's just excited, don't mind her," he said to amber as maya returned.

Riley laughed. "His name's not actually Huckleberry, no worries. He's Lucas. Maya likes to tease him about being a cowboy." She smiled at Amber with slight sympathy.
