Reason You Want It:
She's gorgeous and would make an excellent companion for my Bear, Denali, who's been pretty much on his own since I got him so long ago. Not only do they look good together, but I've also had an idea of the type of personality I'd pair him with if I found a character to compliment him and she fits that personality well. <3
(I do have one question though. Would I be able to put a glow to her eyes like Denali has? I think it'd look beautiful on her and it'd add to the Denali-Desma connection. If not, that's fine, I love how she is now as well. x3)
History/Background/Other:
Desma ran with a slowed urgency. Being much younger than old Denali, she could run faster, and if she had, maybe she would have caught up faster. But, she could never leave her friend behind so she glanced back every once in a while to be sure his lumbering gait hadn't left him too far behind her.
Normally, bears like Denali can easily keep up with the lope of an Arctic Wolf, but the weight of his hunger and growing age slowed him considerably. She heard his frustrated grunting as he struggled to keep up and it softened her hard determination to keep up with their fleeing meal. She stopped short and whirled around to face him as he approached and slowed to a stop in front of her, questioning her with his eyes.
"You need to rest Denali." She said simply.
He frowned, looking as though he disagreed.
"You're tired and hungry. It'd be much easier for me to try to take one down myself. Even if it's just a young one, it'll be enough to restore you to a better chase condition." She stared at him with steel-like resolve, determined to go alone this time.
He continued to frown, displeased with the idea, but nodded his agreement anyway. She was right, as much as he hated to admit it, but he needed a break and something to eat.
She smiled victoriously at him, it was not often she got to be the one to look after him, let alone be right in telling him he needed to let her. She nodded back, sealing the deal, then turned to continue the chase. This time, at her own pace. She looked back once, to make sure the old bear was finding a good place to nap, before kicking up a gear to take off down the fading scent trail.
For an hour she ran, growing increasingly aware of just how far back they'd fallen. Luckily, the pattern of the tracks showed that the herd had stopped it's manic stampede which a wolf pack had started when they leaped out to steal a doe. Denali had broken his usual silence to curse crudely at them for scaring away their meal. Perhaps he knew he wouldn't have been able to follow them much further.

He caught my eye because I knew whoever drew him must have put a TREMENDOUS amount of time into this charrie.
Then I really looked at his markings, and I was in <3. xD

Selan was born from the earth.
He came up onto the land, and found Ali, my other charrie. He never looked back. <3
Ali represented an Alligator, and Selan, the earth. They lived harmoniously together. <3
