Glad you're all on board! You know I love how chill you guys are. I like settling things.

Also, I mean, the thing that brings you down is not gonna be your exact word count. Just be reasonable with your length. If you get 4,100 words with a 4k max and you want every single one? Fine! There's room. I don't expect anybody to be policing the word counts.
Just be reasonable. The point of oneshots is to tell a gokd, quick story. Think of a 15 minute episode of a cartoon rather than a movie or even a 45 minute episode of CSI or Walking Dead if you're writing drama/horror instead of comedy.
I'm not gonna flip if you go over the word limit by a little bit. Just don't waste time.

The masses want a Halloween theme.
I'm not one for it, but, eh.
I suppose I could manage something.

Well... Halloween is kinda over. By the time the contest gets to the judging phase, it'll be almost christmas.
I'm all for Halloween everyday, but that would have been a better theme 1-2 months ago.
So if yall want to do holidays, we could do christmas.
Or round it out and do autumn.
Or escape that completely and do little theme/AU bunnies like "high school", "doctors/hospitals", "medieval", "zombie apocalypse", etc.

Toss up all your ideas. Once we get a few I'll start a poll.

Medieval is interesting.
"If Sasuke stayed" AU could have multiple interpretations.
We could go with the recent hype of Back to the future, and do something on that.
