Short Story: It was a typical night. Me and Rose were relaxing. We didn't have the desire to move, even on Halloween. But this Halloween was different. I grew nervous and woke up, looking at Rose, who showed no concern. But something just wasn't right. I jumped down off of the bed and walked around. The rain which was falling outside grew heavier, and the lights flickered a little. I tried to warn Rose, but she payed no mind. I saw a ghostly figure of an old man. But he didn't seen angry, or even the slightest bit upset. He smiled, looking at Rose. He looked familiar, I couldn't place my paw on it. All of the sudden I remembered. It was her grandfather. Halloween was a night for spirits to contact humans, and I'm guessing that's what he wanted. Rose looked over, getting a cold chill. She smiled at the ghost of her grandfather. She whispered to where no one outside of her room could hear. "I've missed you, granddad." He pet her head, pet me, and vanished. The experience was strange, but unforgettable. Me and Rose went back to relaxing. The next night we went trick-or-treating, and got some cool stuff!

Short Story: Nyan had never treat-or-tricked; or was it trick-or-treated? She couldn't even remember!All she could think of was tickets, tickets, tickets! She mainly was excited because it was her year to get a ticket, all her brothers and sisters had their year! She was hoping she would get a ticket to get a new sister or brother because she would be the first! Ohh wouldn't mama be proud! She hurried to the bathroom and brushed her teeth, washed her face, and combed her fur. She was almost glowing with anticipation and excitement. She went out with a treat bag in hand and soon found a cute little house. Nyan rang the doorbell and got ready to shout, "Treat-Or-Trick! Oops... I mean Trick-or-Treat!"

Short Story: Rose hurried along the lamp lit street, making her way to the very last house on block. Her the breath hitched and her grin grew as she saw all the amazing decorations. The tabby's eyes glinted with admiration and she started running on all fours to gain more speed. Her teeth has to grab her mane to prevent it from flying behind her and her tail had to curl on her back so her lion tail tip wouldn't slip off. She spend all night making her costume, sewing it to perfection. Well, perfection to her. Rose didn't want her hard work to go to waste. Her heart pounded as she slowed down, taking her time to get to the door. She wanted to soak up all the Halloween goodness before knocking. Smiling to her self as she took in all the decorations, her paws took her face to wood with the door and she knocked, trailing her front paw along the cob webs. When the door opened she smiled politely. "Trick or Treat!"
