These creatures are known as 'Avi' after the name 'Avis' which means bird. The species themselves rarely go on land and are more suited to gliding in the high, cold areas of the sky. They have incredibly large lungs to allow them to breath a lot of oxygen when in the air and their organs are all designed to cope with high-altitude. They are covered with thick, yet light, fur and they commonly have dark coloured skin and pale fur to allow heat to be trapped in the fur. The fur its self is fairly wiry and not that soft. They have large wings which can stretch almost the whole lengths of their bodies.
