Their pet has demand right now because a lot of people are missing it, but even it was VR the trade would still be very unfair you

I'm having a bit of an issue figuring out if This trade is fair or not. I keep leaning towards not because of the 2-3 year difference and they are event pets. But I want to make sure since I'll be getting more trades like since I'm trying to get whole months I missed.

Unfair to you, an '12 common is worth an '13 uncommon or 2 '14 uncommons. So they are paying for one of the cats but not the uncommon

The September dragons are extremely popular and I've seen instances where two '09 rares were offered for one that was still growing when no one knew what they would turn into. So, yes, rarity-wise they're overpaying by a lot but demand-wise I'd say it's pretty fair.
