WooHoo! Zeph yelled- full of adrenaline.
He was start to finding the fun in this- Maybe running around through slowed time wasn't as bad as he thought?
He definitely got a different perspective on things.
Now, he could notice the minute details- the little things that people did, that most people wouldn't think twice about/
He saw an old woman talking to a portrait of an old man. he saw a young homeless girl taking bread from the bakers shop when the baker wasn't looking. He saw a little kid crying on a street corner. He saw a cat sneaking into a house. He saw a woman splitting a piece of bread for her kids to eat.
The things you could see behind all the glam of Arbor Harbor were really quite saddening- Zeph would never of suspected that in a place like this the citizens could be so oblivious.
But he saw other things too- He saw a family sitting around a picnic table, laughing. He saw two little kids kicking a ball back and forth. He saw the same baker catch the girl, and give her a whole loaf of bread.
This was what intrigued Zeph so much about seeing things in a still frame, he could see everything.
...A Few Minutes Later...
Zeph ran into an empty alleyway, where leaves that were blown into the air stood motionless- suspended in time.
Zeph firmly planted his feet into the ground, leaning backwards to steady himself.
He was willing all the magic he could into stopping the Speed Force.
Suddenly, there was a loud crackling noise, like thunder- and the lightning around him faded into a shade of light blue, and dissipated. Everything gradually began to move again, and within seconds time was restored to normal.
Woo! I did it! I did it! Zeph said, feeling a mix of excited and proud.
He looked towards the exit of the alleyway. People were bustling by like normal, and he could now hear the chatter of conversations that were irrelevant to him.
Oh, that's cool- Zeph noticed a fading trail of electric blue light, apparently his Zooming (His super speed.) Leaves a temporary trail behind him.
Within seconds, the trail had completely faded away.
I can finally stop at will! Zeph looked down, checking to make sure he was all right.
Arms- check.
Legs- check.
Body- check

.
Bag- check.
Cloak- check.
Wind swept hair- check.
Ice Staff- check.
Stele- che-
Wait.. Suddenly Zeph remembered
Zeph pulled the stele out. He began to flick it through the air.
AAA! NO NO NO! He screamed as the Stele slipped through his fingers, flying behind him.
Oh gods... Zeph sighed.
He focused his mind on resuming the Speed Force.
Focus...Focus...Focus...Focus...Nothing.
Come on! Zeph muttered.
Focus...Focus...BZZZTThe world seemed to vibrate for a moment, as he initiated the Speed Force- But within seconds the world froze, and small bolts of electricity had already begun protruding from him.
Well, apparently Zeph can stand still and still have time be slowed. He looked down at his hand, and it appeared to be vibrating- as if it was out of phase with reality.
Apparently his whole body did that when he was Zooming.
Here we go. Zeph said, excited.
He took off, running out of the alley- Happily zooming through crowds of frozen people.
...
Zeph had ran through about 12 alleys before he found his Stele.
aaaand Stop! Zeph said, firmly planting his feet into the ground.
Once again there was a noise like thunder, and then everything was back to normal.
He looked at the people outside the alley, it appears that he had only been running for a few seconds.
It felt like 10 minutes to him.
Nice!! Zeph spoke in a higher tone than usual. This was all very new and exciting to him.
He bent down, and picked up the Stele. It was a little scuffed, but still in one piece. Thats rather good.
He wiped the mud off of the stele, and put it back in his bag.
