I would like to enter in the birthday contest!

3.) A short story telling me either how you would plan (or have planned) a surprise party for someone or a story about a surprise party someone threw for you!
If I were to plan a party,
Then what is it I'd do?
Perhaps put confetti in the air
Sprinkling through the view.
I'd make pizza and brownies and cookies,
And a big yummy chocolate cake,
Filled with lots of sprinkles and laughter,
And it would bubble when it would bake!
Oh, if I were to plan a party,
I'd hang streamers way up high.
Then grab some balloons and blow them all up,
'Til they're floating up to the sky!
I'd buy a piñata and fill it with candy,
And things that make people grin.
Then I'd get games like Twister and hopscotch
And give prizes to the person who wins!
If I were to plan a birthday,
I'd hope it would all go as planned.
But if it didn't, I'd still try to make it
The very best that I can!

If I planned a surprise party, I would pick a place that could easily and quickly be set up for a party. I would invite as many friends and family as I could for the person, asking them to act normal around this person. I wouldn't want to ignore them, so I'd probably send them off on a special birthday spa day or something if they were female as their present, while they were there i would set up and have everyone over and then when they would be done, call them and as them to come over or something and when they walk in, SURPRISE!!!
I think that would be lots of fun.

How I would plan a surprise birthday party for someone: I would tell all my friends to prepare the decorations, cake, and party games before the day, and not tell her a thing! And then when the day comes, I would tell her that she just won a lot of prizes (or the lottery) and that she would be collecting the prize at her friends house. That's where my friends would be getting ready. They would hide behind the table, and when she arrives, they throw confetti and say, "Surprise! Happy birthday!"

So I've never had a surprise party thrown for me so :c but I loved them so here is a story of one we threw for my friend Kylah: so we were about 6 and she didn't plan on having a party instead she was going to go to build a bear with her grandma (that's where we surprised her). She was kinda mad for not having a party and at the lunch table one day and we were seeing who was going to her surprise party at build a bear. So she walks up and we get all quite cause we didn't want her to find out and she got kinda mad. Then that weekend when the party was about to start she comes in and we scare her and she was so mad at us for not telling her. She literally thought we were all against her and hated her. Anyways that wasn't that gpod of a story but it's the only one I have so. Oh well.

Sure, I will try to get to it tonight, but can't promise anything.

NOTICE: I am at work til 4 today and then have a viewing to go to this evening and won't be home til late. Then tomorrow I have a funeral to go to and will be with family and friends after and not getting home again until late. In other words I will not have much laptop time over the next couple days, only on my kindle, so may not get orders done until after Wednesday.

While I really liked the confetti cake fish, I chose yellow cake because that is my absolute favorite! And without further ado, here is my story...

I have helped plan so many surprise parties, I wouldn't know which one to go into detail about, so instead I will share the story of the only time I have been surprised for a birthday. It was several years ago for my 35th, and looking back, I am still surprised at how I had no clue what was going on!

My best friend's birthday is 6 days before mine and we usually always get together and do something in between our birthdays to celebrate. Well, this year it just happened that a weekend fell in between our birthdays, and a friend of ours was having a bonfire party that saturday, so we decided to go to that together. At least, that's what I thought the plan was!

Our friend had posted it on facebook and invited people, and when she made me an admin so I could invite people too, I didn't think much of it because she does weird things like that, she had also added my best friend too, so I thought she was just letting us invite a few people since it was our birthday weekend.

Looking back at it, the funniest part of it is that I was over at my best friends house and had stayed the night there the night before and was going to stay there that night as well after the bonfire. Neither of us were feeling so well and I remember we were sitting on the couches in the living room discussing whether we were going to go or not! At one point I thought we weren't going to go, but then we decided that we hadn't seen our new friends house yet and she'd been trying to get us out there for a while, so we decided to suck it up and go.

When we get there my friend and her boyfriend jumped out of the car and just started heading right for the back of the house to the bonfire, didn't even wait for me to fully get out of the car, which I thought was kinda weird. But then I finally get back there and everyone yells surprise! It took me a minute to realize they were saying it to me and they had all gathered there that night for my birthday!

So technically I knew about the party and what we were doing, just didn't know they were doing it for me! There were even some people there that I wasn't expecting, like my best friends mom, sister and brother in law, who are my second family! It wasn't the grandest of surprises and was just a small gathering of close friends and family round the bonfire, but that is the perfect surprise party for me! As my friends know, I prefer small gatherings of close friends and family to going out on the town!
