Vintage is correct, and art or writing finished now will not count towards the charm or keeping the horse if you didnt have anything posted before, but if you had enough finished to keep it and you want to do the other stuff just for fun or character development you're welcome to

My wildling Fly should have enough for me to keep her, but I'll certainly be finishing her story in the coming months! Whether it's counted officially or not ^^ her journey's too important to me and I've put far too much thought into it not to finish~
