Given their name for their resemblance to both bunnies and hedgehogs, not to mention their dedicated love of honey, Honey Hogs are short, stout creatures with a variety of ear and tail types, a delightfully naturally stocky chubbiness, tiny claws from paws, large rabbit-like hind-legs and feet, and a typically very "spiky" looking back, which is only "scratchy" and "sharp" when the Honey Hog feels threatened in someway. They come in two body types, which only differ slightly in size and mostly in countenance, which include the "bunny face" ( shown ) and the "hedgehog face". They typically only grow to the size of seven to eight inches in height ( standing ) whereas the biggest known has been almost up to 10 to 12 inches in height. They are closely related to rabbits and pikas and have no known relation to hedgehogs. However, this is unproven, as studies show it may actually be a rodent. They are very expressive creatures and make a large variety of high pitched chattering sounds constantly.
So anyways I had this idea for a bit now and I present to you my closed species Honey Hogs inspired by rabbits, hedgehogs, and squirrels. I am thinking of doing some test adopts for them... for interest and all... so please post below if you like them and I may host some starter adopt contests soon.
EDIT: By the by the baby on the cover is an actual character and mine. She / he shall most likely get his / her own ref soon. Also I have not decided on a name or gender. So that is about it for now.
