Why is their tail short? Miro was once rich in frinds, but he had one particular friend that he was ever so close to, thought the name he can no longer remember. X we shall call her for now. They did many things together, many indeed. One day though, a great force came and took his friend away, leaving Miro to go on a long journey to save her. Many trials he faced, travel over many types of terrain to find his friend. That who took her lived in tower, who's entrance was at the bottom of a great chasm, which to a sloping trail to get down to, at the start of this trail, there was a gate, and a gatekeeper who stood around and tall. As Miro approached, the gate keeper to said, "To enter you most scarf e something you treasure most." Mir though ,had nothing with him, and did not come to his conclusion quickly, to the gatekeeper commented on his long tail. Rumors say that he had one of the longest tails ever, though it is more than likely his was only just a slightly longer length than others. Mir turned to the guard, but the guard had already known. Miro expected pain, but felt nothing, and saw the guard holding part of his tail as he opened the gate. Mir took no time to question, and ran as fast as her could to the entrance and thought the tower, to the top. There stood the great force, who looked at Miro and laughing, telling him that X was gone. Miro went to ask what that meant, but the great force disappeared. Feeling himself a failure, Miro left, feeling he had failed, but with the determination that he would find his friend. Because of this, he ended distancing himself from his friends as he wanted to work on finding X.

Why is their tail short?:

There are many stories for the fabled short tail of Kelan, but there is only one true tale. To this day the great Kelan doesn't speak of his loss, but those who he told once before treasure the reasons behind it. He, like many of us, had come across a tempting creature. She was beautiful, and unlike the others of his kind, had no tail to call her own. Her beauty was compared to gods or divine beings, and all this meant nothing to her. The poor Kelan had fallen in love with her, just as many had before him, but it was him and his beautifully long tail that caught the mistress' eyes.

He and the mistress soon found themselves bonded by love, but strongest on Kelan's side. He basically worshiped her, and loved her more than even the children he fathered. Some say he was under a spell, but Kelan would tell you otherwise. His son, Moraza, had grown jealous of his father's love for his mother. He knew that when it came to love, his father barely had any to spare for him and his sister Narazi. This meant something had to be done in order for their father to see them as children, and family, once again.

Moraza devised a plan to poison his mother, keeping the plan a secret from his ever truthful sister. It was for their own good that their mother grow sick enough to perish. With their mother gone, their father would turn to them and share the love with the only things left of her. The deed had been done, and their mother had fallen gravely ill. Kelan spent many nights and days speaking to himself, but soon there came an answer.

One day, Kelan had returned with half of his tail hanging from his jaws, but not a bit of blood to prove the act to be of violent origins. Kelan had made a deal with an unknown being to trade his beautiful tail for the life of his most treasured love. Moraza was furious, devoured by wrath that took hold of his senses. In this red haze, the son had killed all but himself and Kelan, trying to force his father to love him at least a little more than before. Kelan couldn't find it in his heart to do so, and so he set out on his own, to find a home that would be far enough from his origins to help him find peace in his heart.

Why is their tail short?: "(Sigh) Right, about that. When the Greeks took over Egypt, they found me inside a temple. They figured the local stories of red being associated with a terrible God named Set (which was true), and saw me as a demon. I tried to fight back against them, but there were far to many for me to fight, so I lost. They cut off some of my tail as a battle prize, but I managed to escape their grasp and run away. I think they figured I was so wounded I would die, but luckily I know a little bit of healing magic. Stupid Greeks."

I sort of inspired that off the description on the main page, since it calls them "agile demonic canines"
