WhisperingNight was bored as she scanned the clearing, she spotted a tom who seemed kinda lonely. She padded up to him, "Hey there JackalHowl, whats up?" The femmora purred a greeting as her whiskers twitched slightly.

DappledMoon padded to the falls, hoping to catch a decent sized fish. He crouched near a shady spot in between a few rocks waiting for a/an unsuspecting fish to swim by, his cleaves slammed into the water once he saw a familiar shadow appear under the water's surface. He quickly brought up the fish and slammed it hard against a rock ending it with a quick bite to the neck. It was an extremely lucky catch, but he was still determined not to go back to camp until he had caught at least one more piece of prey.

Thistle shrunk away slightly but held her position "I would like to be oart of an actual family. And my kin is here... I would like to be with him again" she stated, flicking her ears forward. She could see Venom tense, her paws needing the ground nervously but she kept her claws sheathed.

Jackalhowl shifted and reopened his wide, entrancing eyes, moving about in his little hideout to face who had spoken. He locked eyes with Whisperingnight, a much younger molly than he. At her words he meowed around a yawn, rather sullenly and miserably, "Hey, Whisperingnight.. Oh, nothing much. Just avoiding the rain, like always."

The long-limbed, large-eared orange tabby narrowed his eyes ever more, to mere slits. This Thistle was clearly not a threat, but he didn't mind pressing her and making her uncomfortable - as she obviously was - for intel. He raised his angular tabby head, proceeding to still; stare her down as she spoke. At the mention that she had kin here, the stoic leader couldn't hide his surprise. He swished his elegant tail and tilted his head on one side, meowing, "You have kin here? I wasn't aware that one of my cats was related to a rogue. Who is it that you seek?"

WhisperingNight rolled her shoulders into a shrug, "That's understandable, you know the rain can be a nuisance at times; but sometimes I actually think it's nice." She said as she sat wrapping her tail around her paws. "Not to be nosey or anything, but why don't you like the rain?; It's fine if it's a personal reason or something." She wondered out-loud.

The massive, dark warrior eyed her nervously, with his brow furrowed and his luminous yellow-green eyes glowing in the shadows of the scraggly brush he'd crammed himself into. "Clearly I don't think it's nice. Far from it..." He stiffened and his fur-tipped ears flattened at her questioning. Of course.. she wasn't alive when it happened.. She wasn't even alive when Grasstooth passed away all of those moons ago. Sighing softly, breathily, the massive brute relented, deciding to tell his tale anyway, since it was no secret, except to the younger cats, as to what had happened to Jackalhowl's brother. He murmured, "You really want to know, then?"
