Lovino gave a nod before he unsheathed his claws and placed them over the bug. "Stay still, it will make it easier for me bella." He meowed to Softberry before placing two of his claws carefully on the bugs head. He gave small gentle tugs before with one more the whole tick came out, head included. Getting squeamish he gave a yelp and threw the bug away from then while jumping a bit with fur shot up in fear.

Softberry heard Lovino squeal and rolled her eyes slightly, getting to her feet. Surely he wasn't that afraid of bugs? Flicking an ear in amusement, the molly crouched down in front of the tiny black bug. "Good job, it's all still intact." Softberry remarked, twitching a whisker and sitting back up.

Lovino calmed down from his fright and groomed his fur up just making sure that no ticks got into his pelt. Seeing none he gave a small purr before looking at Softberry and freezing a bit. Did he really just get all scared over a small little bug in front of his crush? Just thinking of that made Lovino feel his face heat up and he gave the she cat a sheepish grin. "Sorry about that. I maybe should of mentioned that I hate all bugs.... Not just spiders."

"Bugs are a little creepy, but when one has to deal with them daily it's not as scary. Fighting scorpions has become something that I've acquired a good skill at doing." Softberry kicked a little sand over the tick so it couldn't reattach and sat back down, a few good paw steps away from it. She didn't seem to pick up on Lovino's flushed pelt or stuttering.

He started to feel his confidence grow again when the she cat mentioned scorpions. "Scorpions are nothering to me. I call them toys and I like to mess with them. I could show you one day." He purred puffing out his chest a bit wanting to show no fear but pride. He wanted to see if he could impress Softberry by showing how he messes with the scorpions or scorpion if he can find one.

"Be careful to not get stung. The poison works fast and it's not easy to eject with no herbs out here. A simple walk to camp is all it takes to get in your system." Softberry warned, she'd saved many a cat from stings. They were one of the most common threats out here. Due to their small size and blending colors, it was all too easy for a cat to accidentally tread on a scorpion.

"I'm all about danger. If I do get stung then it's on me, also hopefully I have a gorgeous she cat to mend me if I do." He laughed giving a small charming smile directed to Softberry. Really he was hoping to at least get her to sort of like him. If not then Lovino would try harder since he would never give up on a lady.

Softberry could see what Lovino was trying to pull at, and of course he wouldn't know her code. No mate or kits. But still she chuckled and wrapped her tail around her paws in amusement. "Perhaps not 'gorgeous'." She mused, her thick pelt was so uncommon here not only toms but also other mollies who didn't know her were stunned by the fact she lived way out in this hot desert.

"Well you are in my eyes Softberry." He replied not really paying attention to her coat length. He didn't like to judge cats by coats or even ask a long furred cat why they are even here. To Lovino that was disrespectful and if he wanted to make it with the ladies then he would have to be proper and polite. Pointing things out was not a good way for charming unless of coarse it was pointing out a female's beauty.
