Welcome to Draous Adoptables

Hey, just an update :3

I'm working on the CSS (A coding style that is processed to give the site how it 'looks) for the Draous site, but I'm stuck for ideas for adoptables ;-;

I'm also planning to re-write the first page and I found a cool snippet of BBCode I like on another site.

Any ideas for the Draous site would be much appreciated

Draous were a little species that used to be mis-lead as rats. Their stunningly mouse-like features caused alarm when their noses poked out from under bedsheets during the medieval period. However upon realisation that they were much cleaner, didn't steal food and actually ate mice they became more domesticated until they were completely accepted. However like most work animals they became less needed and now are simply pets, however some sub-species are still used as work animals. The finder of the domesticated qualities noted the mouse and dragon features and took the first and last three letters of dragon and mouse, however being an uneducated man he accidentally left off the 'e' in mouse, however the name still stuck.

There are 7 possible kinds of Draous with varying rarities

Rarity; Aero Draous
C (Common)
[i]The Aero Draous are the best fliers, specifically bred for small bird catching (Such as delicacy birds like quail) and rabbit hunting. They are quiet common but slightly rarer than the Elemental Draous.


Fire Draous
Rarity; UC (Ucommon)
Fire Draous were bred for one reason - they were bred for keeping fires going in winter. Now they are just a novelty breed. They have a fire-y temper and are particularly stubborn and so should not be trained by children. Like all Elementals, they are common.


Water Draous
Rarity; UC (Uncommon)
Water Draous were bred for fisherman to aid them with various underwater jobs they could not complete because of the amount of time they could hold their breath. Since machinery has taken over their jobs they have retired as a novelty breed also.


Earth Draous
Rarity; UC (Uncommon)
[i]Earth Draous were bred for battling and mining. The Draous were (Quite unusually) quiet prone to getting hurt, and so they got the ingenious idea of having rock armour on their heads. Again, not used so much for working, they are now a novelty breed.


Air Draous
Rarity; UC (Uncommon)
Air Draous are keen competitors, liking to fly as fast as possible. Oddly enough, they have streams of air surrounding their body whilst flying.


Dragon Draous
Rarity; IR (Incredibly Rare)
Dragon Draous are very rare, and to have them crop up in a litter would be extremely rare. They are best bought as customs below.

Rarity; VC (Very Common)
Wild Draous are the closest to their ancestors. They are, as noted, found most prominently in the wild. They are more common than the Elementals and the most common species to date

Wisdom Draous


Rarity; R (Rare)
Wisdom Draous were left to evolve unprovoked by humans, so did not end up in their current form due to selective breeding. Originating from the mountains of Japan and China, they are incredibly intelligent and are capable of learning of human speech. Most tend to show a strange interest in poetry. They have only just started emerging and communicating with human beings as for a long time they were unaware of their existance.

Lùróng (Lurong) Draous

Rarity; R (Rare)
No-one really knows where this exotic species comes from. Some believe parts of Tibet- some believe from the roots of the Himalayas. The strange egg they carry appears to be gold or pearl, and are fiercely protective of it.

Colourist's NEEDED!

As stated, I'm looking for one or two skilled people to help me colour Draous. The colourist(s) would be able to pre-claim from future litters (Of there own creation). They would get a breeding license (Free breedings!) and lastly, would be able to have a yet-to-make little badge to put anywhere on CS to show their status!

To enter, you must use Photoshop (Or GIMP) to colour the EARTH DRAOUS only :3 You must have the knowledge to make it transparent from the white background and it'd be useful if you already knew how to make the Draous show up under the colour layer. Lastly, you need to be able to email or MSN me the Draous to put onto my photobucket :3

Also, this is a very big job! I'd expect at least a litter a week from you, but if you can handle my demands you're sure-in!

Some people are confused xD
So, to start you're going to wanna get 'rid' of the white, and this is simple. If using Photoshop, you'll want to go to 'Select, Colour Range' then use the colour picker to grab white. Then, drag the fuzziness slider down to the left and hit OK. If using GIMP, you go to Layer, Transparency, Colour to Alpha, select white then OK :3 To colour, duplicate the layer and then on the top erase the extras (The earth and fire and extra stuff). Then you go to the lock panel on the layers and click the checkerboard so the colour doesn't leak. Then, go to the 'Layer Styles and click overlay :3

I hope this has enlightened your minds :3 PM me if you're still confused.

Breeding is only open on Sunday due to school and family.

Breeding will give you 1-3 'Chicks' per litter. Each chick will be a blend of the two parents. There is always a charge depending on what breeding you choose - If you breed your own Draous you have to cover all the cost, whilst breeding with someone else means you can halve the cost between you. You must not have the Draous in any contests. Breeding two Elements will not cause cross-breeds, but a mixed litter of both Draous.

Potions are not required but increase the amount of chicks pet litter. Opposite Elements (AeroxWild, FirexWater, DragonxAll others and AirxEarth are opposite elements) need a potion that make them compatible.

Customs
I'm begrudgingly test-opening customs :3 Each custom will be £3000 and only open ATM to the Elementals, the Aero or the Wild :3 . Also, I am unable to do most complex designs due to the tiny-ness of the Draous. Also, it'd be better if you had the D£ on hand :3

Dragon Draous are handed out as gifts or for any 08 VR on my wishlist ;3 There's more than I wanted lurking around....
