"Hm?" Softberry's ears twitched when she heard Batpaw and lifted her head to gaze at the apprentice. He was so big now, it would be a shock if he didn't get his name soon. Forcing a purr to rumble in her throat, the medicine cat replied," I'm just a little...I guess irritated, at StarClan's lack of speaking to me. I know there must be something, a reason for all these outsiders to suddenly be coming in, but I can't figure out what." Whiskers twitching, she added," Not that rogues and loners joining the Clan is a bad thing, but it's so much at once." Her thick furred pelt seemed to be laying flat but her eyes were concerned, not heavily but enough to tickle her mind. "Don't waste time on moon-speaking cats like me - I'm sure your warrior assessment is any day now, Batpaw!"

Then, after a few blissful seconds, it slammed the pearl tom all at once. His reaction? Of course, as always, a small smile. What in the name of Starclan...? There are so many things wrong with this. First of all, why did he reject? ... Ahhh... I know why. He is fearful. I challenged him too much... is that why you reject me, Scorchstar? You believe I really want to overthrow you from the inside out? Is it because you fear I lust for life so much that I'd attempt to assassinate you, although you have at least half your lives and a clan of cats that despise me? Secondly, why not tell me yourself? He made the ultimate decision alone I believe - I didn't see him leave his den all night. Do you despise me that much? His baby blue eyes locked on the side of the den, unblinking for a few long moments.

Why does every clan despise me, and ultimately chase me out? Am I that much of a threat to legacy? Hrm... Dragging his legs beneath him, the petite tom rose from the bed, that same smile plastered on his maw. I will have some fun. Perhaps he should've left straight away. But... his mood wouldn't exactly allow it. "Perhaps not entirely deaf, but my hearing isn't the keenest," Snow said without changing face or tone. I'm not asking what you said... I'm giving you a chance to change it.

Spottedpaw grinned at the younger molly. "No problem," she stated, amusement coating her voice. Yawning once more, she gazed at her bed longingly for a minute, before forcing herself into an awkward stretching position. Licking her maw, she rolled her golden eyes then. "Plumwhisker has some nerve barging in her and waking us all up," the apprentice stated, but more amusement crept into her voice. "We outta get her back," Spottedpaw muttered, but let it drop.

She remember Flarepaw's words. Frankly, no mischief, at least not for awhile. It's odd, considering she always was up for fun earlier- eh, guess Scorchstar did something that we didn't see. Or maybe Flarepaw is finally settling down and focusing on becoming a warrior. "Yeah.. Noeyes can be a terror," Spottedpaw agreed, cutting off as another yawn came forth. Nodding her head slightly in an attempt to stay awake, she exited the den, before biting her bottom lip. "I'm assigned to patrol today," Spottedpaw mewed absentmindedly. It's been awhile... or maybe it's me.

Batpaw noted the purr wasn't nearly as sweet as usual, and she had given a slightly startled response. She's usually much more alert and at ease than this. Regardless, he didn't voice his input yet; he simply listened to her words, his whiskers twitching slightly as he licked moisture from them. Then, he spoke. "Perhaps that's their sign - no sign. That could be their way of telling us that we are doing well - that we are less reliant than we were," the petite ebony tom mewed quietly, curling his tail slightly. The tall tom then hesitated a bit. Softberry is considered.. the usually calm, observant, sweet Softberry. Maybe I shouldn't be consoling her - she is correct, my warriors assessment is upcoming. However, it is rather unusual to see Softberry in such a state. With everything going on, the leader will need your support more than ever. Besides, I would like to know what is going on within my clan. Regardless, Batpaw shifted awkwardly. He never really felt comfortable with talking to cats, and tended not to do it often unless some drastic foolishness had occurred. But, today was an exception.

"Your concern is understandable, yet don't let it cloud your judgement." Aptly put, don't be overly hostile towards the rogues... yet. Observe and be jovial, but never give up anything at the same time... that is until Scorchstar accepts them. They could be excellent warriors, or detriments to my fm,ily. Realizing his words were a bit stern and directed considering Softberry was a higher rank, Batpaw cleared his throat then. "I do hope so. As for Moon speaking cats..." the tom hesitated, not the best with conversations, "Wouldn't that be star speaking?" Flickering his namesake ears backwards, he heard Hawkcry come over - hard not to hear with those heavy foosteps - eating.

How're you supposed to spar on a full stomach, Hawkcry? That's not exactly a small hare. A soft sigh escaped Batpaw's maw, and he resisted the urge to roll his filmy turquoise eyes. Ah well. Perhaps when you live to regret that choice you won't do it again - unless, that is, you have mastered the ability to fight even after stuffing your maw. This spar match will be intriguing, to say the least.

I nod slightly. "That Much is obvious." I lick my paw, and swipe it over my face. My patience is dripping away, but I keep my tone calm and confident. My sharp green gaze stays locked with the toms, as the white tip of my tail swishes to and fro behind me. In the back of my mind I'm confused. Wondering what the rouge had done to upset Scorchstar.

Lakefurtags; open, looking for Skypaw

Lakefur blinked against the bright sun. He sighed at how little the partial cloud cover did to curb the brightness of the sun rising in the sky. Turning his face away from the sun and towards the center of camp, Lakefur calmly observed the bustle of his clanmates. As he watched Flarepaw and a few others go to fetch food for the elders he rose, wondering where his own apprentice was at. Lakefur stretched over the dusty ground, enjoying the cool, comfortable temperature, Today is a good day for training, he decided, gliding across the camp in search of Skypaw.

Shadepaw stepped lightly around the edge of camp, staying out of the way of the multifarious cats talking or working near the center. Shadepaw kept an eye out for Cloudstorm. The young tom was both hungry and bored, a hunting trip would do him good. Shadepaw sighed as he couldn't find his mentor. He sat down, hoping she might come into view or spot his dark pelt against the Sandy brown dirt that covered the entire territory.

"I'd rather go patrol... is there any cats you wish to bring?" Waspclaw questioned.

Sunpaw nearly hit the she-cat with his claw as she dropped her head closer to his. But she started to speak, so he didn't dare. The wheels in his mind were turning. Was it a trap? Or was she serious? After a moment the tom hissed back,"Fine." He turned and dashed away, a scowl on his face.

Sunlight crept through the entrance of the den, warming Swallowpaw's dark pelt. Her eyes cracked open, only to shut as they were blinded by the light. Swallowpaw laid still for a moment, but soon sat up, unable to fall back asleep. The she-cat groomed her black and white fur before silently padding out of the den.

Flowertail twitched in her sleep, her whiskers trembling and bushy tail puffed up. Her dreams were not peaceful, in fact, they were nightmares. The she-cat stood at the edge of her border, that terrible day's scenario replaying in her mind. Just minutes ago Flowertail had been forbidden to see the tom, and yet she had gone out to see him one last time. The Siberian Lynx Point cat had padded to the border, only to find her loved one's body, his throat slit and eyes dull. And at that moment she woke, breathing heavy and shakey.

Pricklenose awoke with a jolt. He could hear the heavy breathing of another cat and he turned, his green eyes meeting his sister's blue eyes. She shook her head at him, and after a moment the tom stood up and padded out of the den to grab something to eat.

"I'll say.. Every day it's the same routine - with her barging into the den and waking up poor Shalowpaw and Fallowpaw.." The black apprentice was ready to abandon her thoughts on Thorn and chat with the spotted molly rather than be sulky over a relationship that never would've happen anyway. Pushing the image of his handsome face and wide, paid amber eyes out of her head, she purred as they trotted out of the den and to the fresh-kill pile, "You got that right.. Noeyes isn't all that bad - believe me, I'd know, having to care for her every other day - just awful mean when she isn't fed on time."

The orange tabby nodded his head,d having noticed the crowd of cats sniffing at the dusty floor around the pile and how anxious they were. Once I'm done speaking with Cobrasong, I'll have to take a look-see. Then I'll have to send out a group of cats to track whoever it was that came into our camp yesterday..
Scorchstar swiveled his head back to the waiting Cobrasong, ready for her to continue.

Hawkcry could see the ebony, large-eared male watching him our of the corner of his turquoise eyes, and caught the slight roll of them. Excuse me? I'm the cat that's so graciously going to provide my services for your sake, apprentice. If it wasn't for Waspclaw and me, you'd be a failure - simply a blind kitten mewling for its mother! No wonder Scorchstar hasn't made you a warrior yet! You're weak!
The dark tabby glared slightly, with his pale blue eyes balefully narrowed, at the back of Batpaw's head, swiping his tongue over his blood-stained lips as he looked up from his hare. I'll make a proper warrior out of you yet - but learn to show respect, even if that lack of respect is a roll of your eyes, tomcat, before I train you in my ways, eh?

Noeyes - Elder of DesertClan - She-cat - 88 moons - Tags; OPEN!

Noeyes awoke, as per usual, with her stomach grumbling. She rasped around a massive yawn, as she usually did when she started to get hunger pangs, "Is any cat going to bring me my snack?"

The she cat was laying down by the fresh kill pile relaxing herself under the sun. She opened her eyes which soon landed on Browntail looking at her. Perking her head up Rosefeather raised an eyebrow at the male as well as a flick of a ear.

Rosefeather gave a small glare and she padded up to Browntail. "One question, why were you looking at me? I'm not offended just.... Curious." She meowed to him in a gentle and calm tone not wanting to scare Browntail. The she cat wasn't used to any cat looking at her or for the fact 'admiring' her. Though she did want that Rosefeather would have to get used to it.
