The light gray brown darker brown and tan ticked spotted and tabby striped she cat shook herself again. She huffed as she kept her ears turned out for danger, perked as she listened and also scented the air a bit. She snorted and huffed as her tail flicked this way and that, whiskers twitching and quivering a bit as they reached a good spot. She nodded silently at the rabbits...

Although Splashpaw had already woken up once this night, she got up surprisingly fast. She liked to think that it was a sign that she could be a good medicine cat. She looked over to Tinypaw and followed his lead. She decided that she should let him head out first since he had been helping Softberry for a longer amount of time.

As she turned the corner she saw Crowpaw and Owlflight in the dimly lit den. Softberry had been right; Crowpaw did seem a little uncomfortable. She nodded to Softberry and made her way over to the mentor and apprentice.

Softberry padded back over to Owlflight, trusting Splashpaw and Tinypaw to take care of this simple task. She gazed at the warrior and fluffed out her pelt, the desert air freezing in the night. May as well get used to this - late nights are going to be a common thing. I have a bad feeling in my marrow. The medicine cat thought with her ears flattening slightly on her head, raising a paw and gazing at Owlflight. "So what are you doing up? Having some sleeping troubles of your own?" On the molly's pelt, Softberry could scent another warrior. Dustspeck, probably. The thick furred she-cat stifled a purr, perhaps Dogtail wouldn't be the only queen in the nursery soon enough.

Crowpaw stepped out from behind Owlflight, carefully avoiding Softberry. She padded up to Tinypaw and Splashpaw. "Hello," she mewed quietly.

Splashpaw purred, remembering how she often felt around the seniors. Softberry had always been nice though. She imagined that it would only be a matter of time before she, as well as Crowpaw, would be less flustered around others.

"Poppy seeds huh?" Splashpaw asked, attempting to start a conversation with Crowpaw. "That's for sleeping, right?"

"Hello there. Well I have you your poppy seeds." Tinypaw meowed before he help out his paw to Crowpaw which contained the poppy seeds. As a kit he was just like this but it was nightmares that kept him awake night after night after his mother had died.

Graywhisker focused his attention onto the rabbits and backed up saying that the she cat could go first in hunting them. He was being polite to Doestep for a change though if he was with anyone else he would already be at hunting the rabbits down.

Crowpaw nodded. She took the poppy seeds from Tinypaw with a small thanks. "I'll take these in my den," she whispered. "Goodnight..." She padded off to the apprentice den, taking the poppy seeds and drifting off to sleep.

"Your welcome. Just come to the medicine cats den if you have any more problems. We are always happy to help." Tinypaw replied in a calm tone before he padded back to his mentor.

"Poor Crowpaw." Splashpaw whispered Tinypaw. She turned to face him and asked, "Do you know what happened with Hawkcry? I wanted to ask Softberry but she seemed like she may not have wanted to talk about it."

She looked over her shoulder to see if Softberry was within hearing range. Luckily she was still conversing with Owlflight.

"Hawkcry? No I don't I'm afraid. More like I don't even know what's going on in the clan." The small Medicine Cat apprentice responded. Tinypaw glanced back at his mentor before shaking his fluffy fur up and asked Splashpaw, "anything else going on in the clan?"
