Shadowpelt watched her go admiring her smooth pelt that shined in the sunlight. He scoffed and shook his head to clear his thoughts then began to collect his prey and carry it to camp. Surly icefeather wouldn't have caught more then him considering she was one of the best hunters in pineclan. Still a friendly competition was always a good way to pass the time.

Icefeather retrieved all the prey she had caught. With some effort Icefeather carried them all back in one trip. She entered the camp puffing out her chest. Icefeather went straight for the fresh kill pile and lay out the prey.

When shadowpelt arrived back with his squirrel and mouse he was not surprised to see icefeather had caught so much prey. He dropped his prey down next to hers "well I think it's obvious who won this time. Next time I'll make sure to put sap on your paws" he joked

"I bet I could still catch more prey than you!" Icefeather purred and playfully swatted his ear with her paw. "I bet I could catch more prey than you if I had my eyes closed!"

"Yeah right" he flicked his ear and rolled his eyes. " I think ill bring this mouse to mooneye, her kits should be coming very soon id expect. But then again I'm no medicine cat" he plucked up the mouse he had caught and carried it to the nursery. "Hello mooneye, fresh prey?" He mumbled through a mouth full of fur

Mooneye lifted her head to see shadowpelt "oh hello shadowpelt, thank you" she meowed gratefully bending over her nest to eat the prey, her belly so swollen with kits she looked like a kittypet.

"Your welcome" he replied befor returning to the hollow once more

Icefeather push all the prey into the pile and took a piece for herself. She settled by the apprentices den and called out to Shadowpelt when he exited the nursery. "Shadowpelt, do you want to share this with me?"

"Alright" he purred settling down beside icefeather his long black fur mingling with her silver fur.

"So how is Mooneye?" Icefeather said hoping to start a conversation.

[Cinxer]

"I think she is doing well. She seems a little tired though. I wander how many kits there will be" he meows before pushing the prey towards icefeather in a way that says eat.

Icefeather took a bite out of they prey and swallowed. "However many they will be lucky to be born in greenleaf." Icefeather found herself thinking about having kits of her own. "Some day I would like to have kits." Icefeather took another bite.
