Cedarclaw

"Greetings Moontail, would you mind if I joined you?" Cedarclaw hadn't practiced his fighting skills lately and was anxious to practice.

DuskLight watched as SpeckledMoon sat beside him. He dipped his head in greeting, ears folding back shyly. He took note of her form, no wounds and no sounds of any sickness such as greencough. A sigh of relief escaped his lips. He tilted his slightly at her words, blinking his pale green eyes. With a soft smile her turned to face the camp "You always were great at seeing the best of everything" DuskLight watched as SpeckledMoon began to groom, wondering wether to interrupt. "Is there a reason why you know today will be great?" He tilted his head towards her.

Fang

Fang scented the area and then scented another cat. He scented that it wasn't one of those clan cats, another cat like him probably. "Who's there," he meowed, whipping his gray head toward a bush where the scent came the strongest.

Tilting her head in contemplation, she fell unusually silent for several moments, lowering her paw. Her gaze took on a somewhat distant look for a brief second. "Not particularly. It just has that feeling about it." An amused look crossed her features as she turned to meet Dusklight's eyes with her own ocean-blue, ears swiveling forward. "How are you faring, in any case?" Obviously his herb scent and the coughing fits from earlier had not passed unnoticed.

"Ah." The startled whisper escaped him unintentionally, but he stayed hunkered down where he was, pressing himself flat to the ground. He forced himself to stay absolutely still, though he was more curious than frightened, actually hoping he'd be discovered, as odd as it was. His maw curled slightly in the feline equivalent of a smile as he waited patiently.

DuskLight watched as she fell silent. His eyes widened slightly in worry. He relaxed once she began talking again, a small smile on his face. He nods in agreement. "Well the weather is lovely today, maybe that's a sign from StarClan" His eyes sparkled at the thought of a sign for the clan. His ears perked at SpeckledMoons concern or him. His gaze softened and his ears slowly began to lay flat on his head. "Ah there's no need to be worrying over me, I've always been...weaker..than other cats." DuskLights smile faltered a bit as he embarrassingly pawed at the ground. His smile returned brightly as he looked back to SpeckledMoon. "How are you though?"

"That alone is cause for worry, but I won't badger you over it." A whimsical laugh escaped her as she curled her tail delicately over her paws. "I'm doing well, thank you. Perhaps our alleged sign from StarClan is working in more ways than one." The smile that alighted her maw became rather fond, ears slowly dropping back.

Shadowpelt continued deeper into the woods every once in awhile checking the air for signs of prey. As he walked he didn't pay too much attention to where he was putting his paws so when he stepped on a particularly crunchy leaf it made a small echo causing a mouse to dart out from its hiding place. Shadowpelt quickly flung out a paw and caught the small creature. He gave a small thanks up to Starclan and decided he would probably not find much more prey after all the commotion he made. He picked up his mouse and headed back towards his squirrel.

Icefeather

Icefeather found the scent of a vole and continued on the trail, she came to it and then pounced killing it with a quick blow. She buried it close by. Icefeather was wondering aimlessly when she stumbled upon Shadowpelt's fresh scent. She knew four pieces of prey in that time was amazing even for the best hunters in the clan so she decided to see how well Shadowpelt had been doing. Icefeather followed his scent until she caught a glimpse of his dark fur. Then she climbed a low tree and then ahead to the next. Without realizing it she had startled a squirrel that ran straight into Shadowpelt's path.

Shadowpelt heard a noise behind him then a squirrel came running straight towards him. He stood frozen for a few heart beats then lashed out only to scrape it's fur and leave a long gash on its side, the squirrel kept running though it's pace was slowed down by the injury. Shadowpelt was out of breath and knew the prey would eventualy slow down.The squirrel was going in icefeather's direction now.

Icefeather

Icefeather watched Shadowpelt claw at the squirrel and right as it came for her she drops squarely on top of it. She finished off the squirrel. "Victory for Icefeather" Icefeather then realized how fat it was which probably made it much slower.

"Hey, nice catch!" Shadowpelt mowed to the she-cat. "I thought I heard some cat behind me. Are you ready to take the prey back to camp?" He purred still impressed with icefeather's swift paws and tracking skills.

Icefeather

"Thanks." Icefeather was annoyed, she couldn't sneak up on Nightfang and she couldn't sneak up on Shadowpelt. "Alright" her annoyance disappeared when she remembered all the prey she had caught. "I'll meet you by the prey pile and we can see who caught the most."Icefeather took the squirrel and padded softly to the prey she had hidden.
