War Wolves are a species created in a post apocalyptic world by a government run program in charge of enineering a species capable of working on the surface, which has been devastated by nuclear warfare. It is dark, desolate and hostile. Different groups inhabit underground bunkers around the world as the surface is not inhabitable in its current state. Trips to the surface are not encouraged. Hostile groups often rely on force in order to obtain weopons, gear, food and water and even more hospitable bunkers.

To combat this threat and to make surface trips safer, the government sactioned a new species, One that would be genetically developed to safely navigate the surface and to help alert their handlers to oncoming threats and defend when necessary. This group of scientists used the DNA from wolves, enhanced with other canine species as well as other types of animals, both from the past and present to create what is now known as Was Wolves.

Image
All was wolves share certain key features. Although the surface contains high levels of radiation, the mutated features seen In War Wolves are not due to this radiation, but rather, from the process of DNA splicing and messing with their genetics as a species. In order to get the unnatural traits, such as the echolocation and enhanced sense of smell, they had to change their DNA and splice it. The lack of eyes was an intentional modification. Since they had echolocation, they had no need for eyes. It is also for the fact that there is radiation on the surface as well as dust and debre in the air that is detrimental to eyes. It was a some solution to a tricky situation.

The lack of nose was a mutation that wasn't aimed for but wasn't problematic so they didn't try and fix it and potentially cause more problems. The same goes for the unnatural markings and unusual tail. Every now and then they get one of these but it is so rare that it's a non issue. These war wolves have a good and bad feature; they have an amazing sense of smell, higher than the natural wolves and are fiercely loyal to their handler, but they are sterile and unfortunately cannot breed.

Image
There are 3 classes of War wolves; Original, Second Generation and Unnatural.

Original Was Wolves are genetically enineered and "born" in a laboratory. They do not have parents. Original War Wolves are fertile and are aloud to breed, for a small fee.

Second generation Was Wolves are born from a pairing between Original War Wolves. They inherit their parents genetics and cost patterns. Although second generation War Wolves are fertile, due to the genetic makeup and possibility for unwanted mutation, these War Wolves are not sanctioned for breeding.

Unnatural War Wolves are mutated beyond the norm. They have unnatural coat colors and patterns, some are identifiable from past species, others are so unusual that it is unknown how They were obtained. These war wolves all share One common feature, found only on these unnatural wolves; a long, tapered tail. It is unknown why is from where they get this tail, but it is clearly a feature connected to their unusual coat. Another trait of these unnatural War Wolves is that they are sterile and cannot breed. Due to this fact, these War Wolves are not sold, instead they are adopted out to suitable owners. Unnatural War Wolves, although not purposefully bred, are fiercely loyal to their handlers, more so than the common Was Wolf. They also have an increased sense of smell, making them an invaluable asset on the surface, but due to their inability to breed, they are not as popular as natural War Wolves.

Available War Wolves
Below are war wolves available for auction. Each War wolf comes with two art pieces; an adult image with the gas mask, and a puppy image without the gas mask. Due to the rarity of Originals with unnatural markings and the inability to breed these wolves, they will not be auctioned, but rather, they will be adopted out to suitable owners. Because of the work that goes into each war wolf and the benefit of having 2 images of each wolf, please be considerate with your offer and offer a MINIMUM of 1 rare.

Bids do NOT have to be a wishlist pet, but do need to be at least a rare, from any year, out of consideration. Thank you

War Wolf Adoptions

Postby MaineiacJay » Tue Jul 14, 2015 12:43 pm

War Wolves For Adoption

On rare occasions, a War Wolf is produced that has unnatural markings. These wolves are fierce, strong, and loyal to a fault. However, they are also sterile and cannot be bred. Because of this, War Wolves with unnatural markings are not auctioned off, but rather, they are adopted out for free, to the most suitable owner. Take your chances as they come, for there are not many War Wolves created with unnatural markings, but... choose wisely, as you can only have one of these rare abnormalities.

Adoption Application & Agreement
If you are interested in adopting an unnatural War Wolf, please fill out the form below and post directly to this page to be considered for adoption. The entries will be judged at the end of the entry period and the top entry will be awarded ownership. New owner will be contacted by PM on end date and will have 48 hours to reply. If owner does not reply within 48 hours, the second best entry will be awarded ownership with the same 48 hour limit. This time limit shows me that you are in fact interested. Adopted War Wolves are NOT to be sold or given away under any circumstances. If you no longer want your War Wolf, you MUST return ownership to me (PM me). The War Wolf will be adopted out in the same manner as it was originally. War Wolves with unnatural markings will never be sold, only adopted.

I have the right to extend the entry period if I feel there were not enough entries.

please go HERE to apply for this War Wolf

BREEDING

Breeding Regulations
In the event that a breeding is sanctioned, there are a few things to keep in mind.

PAIRING: Must have a male and female. If owned by two separate people, both MUST consent (cannot be "they said it was ok." They must state it themselves).
FERTILITY: War Wolves with natural markings are fertile and can be bred, whereas, War Wolves with unnatural markings are sterile and cannot be bred.
GENERATION: Only Original War Wolves are sanctioned for breeding. This means that even though a War Wolf has natural markings, if it is 2nd generation, it is not sanctioned for breeding.
COST: Breeding is not free, unfortunately, though a portion of the breeding cost is covered by the original purchase of the War Wolf. Please read on for the total cost of breeding.

Cost of Breeding
Although I wish I could offer this service for free, there is a lot of work that goes into breeding. However, I also take into consideration that some of these War Wolves go for a lot already and I assure you I kept that in mind when coming up with a price. I hope it is reasonable for all!

TOTAL COST
1 RARE FROM ANY YEAR EXCEPT 2015 (current year) PER PUPPY (max 3)

This means that you have the option to have up to 3 puppies per litter, each designed by myself. Each puppy costs a single 2009-2014 rare. It does not have to be wishlist (though I wouldnt object). It is your choice what year you pay, whether you dont want to pay a lot and offer a more recent rare, or want to be generous and offer an older rare, it is your choice!

Puppy Options
If you only get 1 or 2 pups in your litter, you need to specify which puppy lines you want. If you do not choose, I will choose for you.
SEE LINE OPTIONS HERE

What You Get
As with the original War Wolves, you get 2 images - a puppy image, and an adult image, custom designed. To distinguish Originals from Second Generation War Wolves, each generation has a separate lineart, though the puppy lines are shared between both.

ARE YOU READY?

If you own BOTH War Wolves, please use this form:

Code: Select all

ARE YOU BOTH IN FULL AGREEMENT OVER PAYMENT: [whether one of you pays for both/all puppies or you each pay for your own, you should discuss this before putting in a form]

Send trade once form is posted. if you and your partner are buying separately, you each should send a trade once trade is posted. Once trades are received, the commission will be started.

PUPPY NAMES

Once the puppies are finished, please let me know when you think of a name for each puppy. Just like the Original War Wolves, the 2nd generation War Wolves will be registered and it is nice to have a name for them!

ORDER OF COMMISSIONS

The order in which litters are worked on will be a first come first serve. This includes trades. If you submit a form before someone else, but they get their payment sent before you, their commission will be worked on first. So please be sure to get both your form, and your payment in so your litter can be worked on promptly

AUTOWINS

On the off chance that someone should offer one of the below pets, they will automatically win the bid. These will change periodically depending on the pets I am searching for currently, although some pets will remain static, as the likelihood of getting one is slimmer. But without further ado, I present the list!

LIST
ANY LIST PET autowins TWO War Wolves. But please note, in order to give others a chance, since there are only 4-5 War Wolves available each round, you can place your autowin trade and chose ONE Wolf to autowin during the current round but you must wait until the next round at the earliest to choose your SECOND wolf to autowin. BE AWARE: trades are non refundable! If you give a list pet and decide later that you dont want a second War Wolf, you will NOT get your list pet back since it also went towards buying your first War Wolf. If you have any questions about paying with a List pet, please dont hesitate to ask first!

Please make a note in your trade if you are offering a list pet to make it easier and so that fewer mistakes are made. I will double check as well.
