So, I've been in a bit of a slump with RL problems and when this happens I turn to anime, primarily comedy series, to get me out of it. I've seen so much amusing stuff over the course of my otaku life, with Full Metal Panic, Trigun, Hataraku Maou-sama, and recently Barakamon topping my list.

So what about the rest of you? What's the funniest anime you've seen?

The funniest I think I've seen are...

The Devil Is a Part-Timer
Ghost Stories (english dub only, japanese dub is totally different)
Megane-bu
Katekyo Hitman Reborn (the plot episodes are very serious but the rest of it is just freaking crazy shenanigans)

Free! has literally been turned into a comedy in this dub omggg
It's soo bad but it's hilarious to watch at the same time

I knooow XD I'm not a big fan of any of the voices or acting, but if I had to choose, I'd say Rei is maybe the most decent, imo.

I'm not sure whether I should laugh or cry about the dub but I love how it's become a bit of a meme within the fandom.

Is changing a name really that bad? I'm used to Yugioh dub names, but I don't like the Conan dub names, but I can't say, if that would be different if I started with the others. I'm really wondering if I would have gotten used to the japanese Yugioh names, but there is no way to know. Maybe the name change did made it easier to relate to the characters.
There is a little difference between "at all" and "anyway", but does it really matter that much in the context?

That explains why I didn't get it, I only know the german version, though I don't think I know that one enough to get a quote from it either XD
In german she sings "the cold is know a part of me" - Looking at both versions I'm impressed how close the translation is to the orginal which is not that easy with a song, yet I'm pretty sure there a still quite a few people who hate the dub, because it's not the original.

Name changing has always bothered me tbh
... Like the dub should be as close to the original as possible. And RIn isn't even that hard a name in English??? Why you gotta change it??
