You walk up to a tall, red brick building with a huge sign hanging above the doors that reads
Rothlorian Auctions and Adoptions.
What's a Rothlorian? you wonder as you push open the door. A bell above the door jingles merrily,
welcoming you into a well-lit reception area. On the other side of the room, between two doors, sits a desk.
A grinning young lady with short brown hair sits behind it. She waves you over to her.
"Welcome to Rothlorian Auctions and Adoptions! You're looking a little lost. Would you like a tour?
Of course you would!" The young lady's light brown eyes twinkle with merriment as she rises.
She motions for you to follow her through the door to the left of the desk. A sign on the door reads Adoptions.
Your mouth falls open as she leads you into an enormous room filled with black metal cages.
Almost every cage is filled with strange creatures you've never seen before.
You realize there are four different types, ranging from the size of a large Guinea Pig to the size of a house cat.
All of them have rabbit ear-like ears and long, skinny tails.
Another young lady inside the room turns as the door shuts behind you.
Her light brown hair is pulled back into a ponytail that bounces as she walks closer.
Behind blue-rimmed glasses, her blue eyes are sparkling with laughter. A small smile pulls at her lips.
"Hello and welcome to Rothlorian Auctions and Adoptions, also known as RAA!
I'm rainbowpanda101, the creator of RAA. I see you've met Wolfy, my Assistant," the new lady says.
rainbowpanda101 spreads her arms wide, gesturing at all of the cages. "As you can see,
we have many Rothlorians looking for homes. But not all of them are available at one time. Follow me,
and I will show you the Breeding Rooms and Nurseries."
The two ladies bring you back into the lobby, only to escort you through the door to the right of the desk.
A sign on this door reads Breeding Rooms and Nurseries.
When you enter, you see many nesting boxes in more black metal cages.
Baby Rothlorians are playing together in some of the cages while other cages hold female Rothlorians with large bellies.
"We have so many Rothlorians that we need two Breeding Rooms and two Nurseries! This is just the first Nursery,"
rainbowpanda101 tells you. "Wolfy and I split the work so we're not so overwhelmed.
The Breeding Rooms are back that way." She points to a door to the right.
"And the other Nursery is back there." She gestures at a door on the opposite side of the Nursery.
Two Rothlorians suddenly coming racing out from the door to the second nursery. One is black with rainbow stripes
and the other is a light blue with darker blue stripes. When the two Rothlorians see you, they pause before running off again.
"Don't mind those two," rainbowpanda101 says. "That was just Aesop, my Rothlorian, and Na Vi, Wolfy's Rothlorian.
They're our mascots so they pretty much get free reign over the whole shop!"
rainbowpanda101 turns to look at you.
"Now that you've had the welcome tour, feel free to poke around!
All announcements and rules are posted on the wall in the lobby.
The binder on the desk has answers to some frequently asked questions,
and information about the different types of Rothlorians we have.
If you're interested in auction and adoption prices,
there are signs posted all over describing our currency system.
If you find a Rothlorian you'd like to bid on or adopt,
there are stacks of order forms on the desk in the lobby.
Fill one out and give it to me or Wolfy.
