Prince El-Ahrairah

Postby Soulsplosion » Sat May 02, 2015 2:01 pm

okay
you know what
you know what
do you know what
okay
watership down
right?
is the best freaking thing to ever grace this planet
alright?

I want to go find Richard Adams
find that man
and shake
his hand.
alright.
because this is my childhood right here.

watership down is the best.

that's all.
okay.

don't forget it.

oh my god.
it's been a long and winding trip
and who'da thought it'd come to this
the end of days, a cosmic kiss
hold your breath and hold on tight
hunker down, try not to cry
tell the critters that you love
that you love them, that's enough

cause there's no stopping what's to come
some stuff's just etched into the stars
calamities you can't outrun
and when, sweet earth, we finally meet
the sky will burn and boil and sea
as mountains rend, it's you and me
here at the end of history

Oh my gosh I knew right when I saw it! So nostalgic! I used to watch this at my grandma's house all the time.

This is an amazing work of art. With the muted colors and slight sloppiness, I find that it captures the style of the 1978 film concept very well.

It was announced around the 13th of May that BBC has an four-part CGI animated series in the works for Watership Down. They promise to "have the charm and the brutality of that story" (Mirror.co.UK). Now, that has been a previous attempt on an animated series. It lasted 3 season and was fairly dull, for it was 'dumbed down' for younger kids. Still, it was a tolerable attempt that everyone should at least give a try. All three season, and a Christmas Special, can be found on YouTube.

For anyone interested, it was announced earlier this month that BBC will be adapting Watership Down into a four-part animated series.

Have you seen the first attempt at an animated series oh god it was bad (dumbed it down for kids) but hopefully the one by the BBC will be more like the film

Watership Down is a wonderful film and an incredible novel, this film should not be remembered as a part of your childhood though it was not suited for children but I know so many people remember this film from their childhood including me
Maybe the people in charge of censorship should look at this film because I know hundreds of people who watched this film as a child and loved it and weren't affected by the violent images and blood, probably because it was about survival and they'd be no point to the film if it didn't emphasise this.

Back to the art this is gorgeous, it looks like something from the film
Trying to get back into roleplaying, haven't done it for a while. I like roleplaying wolves but they have to be realistic so no alpha beta delta and especially no healer ranks. I like big cats, horses, cats. I like roleplaying warrior cats. I don't play a lot with human characters unless they're shapeshifters or dragon riders.

So if you have a roleplay that needs more members send me a PM.
