i'd imagine it would be a bit smoother to make default pup lines for the design of the pallio
then, you might be able to have artists grow pups with the default adult lines as well, to take some work off your hands

hah, it's your adopts of course, i was just curious about how you're going to go about this (:

Naw, probably not. Already got a lot on my plate with doing the normal adopts. Growths are really just transferring designs to new lines, so it's not too hard to do.

I've been thinking about how to deal with pup lines. All current pallios are pretty much drawn with custom lines that has it's own unique body type and stuff. When we breed pallios, their pups are gonna be a combo of the parents unique bodies. Hmm, I think the best thing to do would be making some lines of the "average" body type (the pallio lines on display here is completely average) and then drawing in different styled body parts on new layers, sorta like an editable oekaki. I actually did this with my giftlines and from what I can see from the people who've colored it in, it seems to work pretty well. I'll likely do the same thing for growths.

Yoooo qwertyo! I recall pallio being a completely non-magic species, but I want to say at some point you were thinking of retconning that and allowing them the sparkly-sparks. I was wondering about the thoughts/rules on that currently?

Hey guys, sorry for going MIA again. Been busy with school. But I have a long weekend now so I'm going to work on pallios and stuff while I have the time. Gonna still be fairly inactive until after June 10th though.

Anyways:

I think I actually did retcon this! Just checked the FAQ and it looks like I deleted the part about them not being a magical species. Don't remember when I did that, but I did. Pallios are sorta an "all-around" species, meaning that they can do most professions, magical and alchemy type stuff included. Though I do like to think that pallios aren't as innately magical as some other species, but with a good wand to channel magic and a lot of studying, they can become very proficient at it.

Edit:

Also just wanna note that I made a Deviantart group recently! It can be found here: http://pallio-dogs.deviantart.com/

Still getting stuff set up, but feel free to join and submit art!

If you don't mind me asking, what do you use for the lines? They're so clean and cute .w.

Also, these adopts are just adorable, I just love them!

Glad you like them!

Here's the brush settings I use:

I should note that the smoothing is my personal setting, I know for some people it's pretty high, haha. And I always pick random numbers for the spacing/scattering, though my rule is to keep spacing under 20 and scattering under 40.

The above settings work best with a tablet, but it's not impossible to get similar results with a mouse/no pen pressure. Here's an example I did using a mouse:
