Oh my lord, why is drawing equines so hard OTL

I've been working on this sketch for a while now. Hopefully it'll be good enough to be use as challenge base.
Any crits? I totally failed at the legs I can't even.

are you kidding me this is absolutely gorgeous o3o
pretty much the only thing i would change is to move the right foreleg back a bit so it's more 'under' him, if you know what I mean (this is probably why his legs look a little off-kilter as the leg looks like it bears weight but it can't really bear weight in that position 8D)
other than that, this is looking amazing so far! can't wait to see it as lines :3

This is a bit older (a few months) but I did this picture of my WME Vex. I can't draw equines.. BLAH. I also know I made the mane too far down the nose and very poofy. It's a style habit, a bad one. I make everything too poofy.

The only thing I would suggest is the addition of shadows.
