Fee-fi-fo-fum...
I took three steps in, then the door slammed behind me, they could be a little nicer...
Infront of me and Ruby there was three cave openings, all of them looked equally dark and dangerous
"Ohmygoodness, ohmygoodness, ohmygoodness!" Ruby squealed in a very annoying voice
"What?"
"I've never met a cat that wasn't a mini!"
"Yeah I figured..."
"So, what's your name? Where are you from? How'd you get here? Why do your wings look weird? What were those scary things that were chasing you? Where are you going now? Have you ever met a mini..?..." The questions kept coming...
"I, u-uh..."
"Well, aren't you gonna answer me?"
*sigh* "Fine, Skylar, Flantof, I fell, They were chopped off, I'm not sure, STILL not sure, nope!"
"YOUR WINGS WERE CHOPPED OFF? BY WHO!" Ruby squealed in a very annoying tone, AGAIN
"By one of those shadow creatures..."
"REALLY?? WELL WHEN WE GET OUTTA HERE I'M GONNA.. I'M GONNA...."
"Do what? You're barely three feet tall Ruby...."
"Oh uh.... that might be a problem..."
"Uhh huh, now where should we go to get out of here?"
"Ahaahaha, it seems we have a another problem..."
"We do? What is it?"
"I have no idea on how to get out of here, annnnnd they won't let us back in through the doors..."
"W-W-WH- WHAAAAAAAAT?? I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WERE A GUIDE!"
"I did, buuut... I only said that so I could come with you, hehe~!"
"So, we're t-trapped?"
"Not really, we could always pick one of these caverns and hope that they'll lead us out."
"And if we pick the wrong one?"
"No one knows, none of us have ever ventured into here; we could die, be free, die, find treasure, die, find a city, make a friend, did I mention we might die?"
"Yes Ruby, you mentioned we might die, FOUR TIMES!"
"Ahh okay good, I just wanted to make sure you got the message."
"Well I guess we sho- Ruby where are you going?"
"To the left cavern!" I think she said more but I couldn't hear her because she decided it was a good idea to jump farther down into the caves...
So of course I had to go after her.
--Many painful drops later...--"RUBY! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??"
"I wanted to go down the left cavern, so I did."
"Ruby! We were gonna go through the center entrance!"
"Well too bad, hey is it me or is it really dark in here?"
"Wh- Yeah, it is... and cold too..."
"Welp! Time to explore!!"
"RUBY WAIT! RUBY!!! Ruby...?"
I stumbled down the pathway into the deep, dark depths of the cave, It just kept getting darker and darker, colder and colder until...
"SKYLAR!! WHERE ARE YOOOOOOU?" Ruby's voice sounded further away..., no deeper away, if that even makes sense...
"I'm here, Ruby! Follow my voice!"
I stayed put and heard the clicking and clunking of rocks as Ruby moved towards me,
"How far away are you?" I called out louder than the last one
"I'm right here!" Her voice sounded even dimmer than before
"Ruby! Are you even going in the right direction!?!"
I then started to hear sobbing and sniffling, was she crying?
"I-I don't know, *sniff* are we even going to get out of here...?"
"Oh Ruby... just come over here okay..?"
I heard more clicking and clunking, but faster this time, then suddenly I felt Ruby slam into me and once again we were sent tumbling down the cavern
---...Even more clicks and clunks later...---I got up and pain shot through my body like an arrow
"Ahhrgh! R-Ruby, are you okay? I-I think there's a rock in my paw... Ruby?"
A dead eerie silence replied
"Ruby! This isn't funny! It's a terrible time to play a prank!!"
I looked to my right and saw bright red glowing crystals in the corners of the cave, they were magnificent! I've never seen anything like them, they way they glow and shimmer, it's almost as if they're beconing you to come closer. And to my left was a very large gaping hole in the wall, there was a freezing cold draft comming from the hole, it's almost as if it was.... breathing? And I feel like i'm being watched... Is it those shadow creatu-
I terrible thought passed through my mind,
What if Ruby fell through the hole? Who knows what might be down there... she could be dead now! My thoughts were inturrupted by a screech comming from another cavern
"NOOOOOOOOOOO, SKYLAR, I-I-I, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOOOOOOOU!?!?"
I'm guessing that's Ruby but, who is she talking to? She isn't in the same cave as me, or is she...?"THIS IS ALL MY FAAAAAAAAULT!!"
"Ruby..?"
"AHHHH! A TALKING SKELE- WAIT! IT SOUNDS LIKE SKY- OH MY GOD SKYLAR! HOW DID YOU DIE???"
What on earth is this crazy cat talking about!??"Uhh Ruby, i'm not dead, at least I don't think so..."
I then saw Ruby coming in from the way I came from while carrying a skeleton
She looked up at me "So wait, if this isn't you... ARHGHABLAH I'M HOLDING A DEAD CAT!" Ruby then threw the bones to the ground.
"But so wait, you let random travelers pass through this place? YOU LET INNOCENT CATS DIE?? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO THIS WAS??"
"I uhh, err, well, I have no idea who they were..."
"I think I might know who that was." A booming voice shouted from the giant hole in the wall.
"Yes, yes... They were my last meal." they shouted again,
I felt my blood run cold as I turned to the wall and realized, that
was breathing, there
was someone watching me, and I knew something awful was about to happen as two giant red eyes stared me down from the darkness.
