Personality:
Maddie is a shy cub. She hates being around others besides Bo, her brother, and Frost, her mother. She is very shy, for her past was a violent one, and she is afraid she will be teased about being adopted. She fears that many cubs will gang up on her and beat her or tease her about her past. She hates being alone, but she is scared and deathly afraid of crowds teasing her.
Maddie is very strong and defiant. She can easily knock over a tree and doesn't like chores. When she gets angry about her mother, Frost, telling her to do chores, she goes outside and kicks a tree stump around. She will sometimes do chores she likes, like hunting or checking around their territory for intruders.
Maddie fears her past. Maddie is afraid of what happened to her parents and hates them for leaving her. She hopes that one day she will meet them, but she soon remembers they might try and take her away from her new loving family. Maddie debates in her mind whether she wants her parents to find her, or if she never sees them again.

History:
One cold winter day in December, Winter and Holler were running away. A black and white Crystinalian was dangling from Winter's jaw as they raced through the forest. Maddie, the baby Crystinalian, squealed in fear as shadows pursued them. The shadows took the form of eagles and shook their wings powerfully as they raced to the fleeing cats. Maddie screamed, hearing everything but not seeing through her eyes. Maddie plummeted from her mother's mouth and Winter wheeled around. "My baby!" She cried out at her newborn kid laying on the forest floor.
The shadow-eagles swooped in and grabbed Maddie in their claws. "No!" Holler roared and leaped at the shadowy figures. His claws raked through a wing and the eagle carrying Maddie disappeared. Holler grabbed his falling child and caught up to Winter. "We need to flee!" He yelled over the howling wind. "I wanted Maddie to grow up in this forest," Winter sobbed as branches tore at her fur and face. Maddie wailed as Winter's face slung from side to side as she tried to claw thorns out of her muzzle. Maddie hit a thorn bush and they penetrated her thin fur.
Winter screamed as the remaining eagle dive-bombed her. Winter dropped Maddie once more and fled. Holler raced after her and Maddie opened her eyes. "Mommy, Daddy," She whispered as she rose from the ground in the shadow-eagle's talons. The talons dug into her skin and she cried out, "It hurts!" Maddie scrabbled at the talons holding her and she bit one. The shadow-eagle, named Kovu, screeched and dropped Maddie.
Maddie hurtled towards an unfamiliar forest and a tree caught her. "Now, now," A single blue Crystinalian padded up to her. "I'm Frost," Frost introduced herself. "WHERE'S MOMMY AND DADDY?!!?" Maddie roared angrily and kicked a stump beside her. "Ow," She mumbled and sucked on her foot. "I'm your Mommy now," Frost picked up Maddie and took her to a small cave. A bold orange young Crystinalian padded up to them. "Who's this?" He sniffed. "Your little sister. Bo, meet Maddie," Frost set Maddie down and purred as Bo sniffed his new sister.
Maddie wailed and woke Bo up in the middle of the night. "What's wrong?" He asked. "N-N-N-Nightmare," Maddie shuddered violently and Bo wrapped his tail around her. "I dreamed that Frost never found me," Maddie was now still a cub, but she was older and could walk, run, and speak fluently. "She loves you and was mean't to find you. Now, go back to sleep," Bo lapped Maddie's head and rolled over and got back onto his nest on the floor. "I love you too," Maddie murmured and began to snore softly.
