Name You'd Choose for It: Jahi { Means Dignified in Egyptian }
Gender: Colt
Age:9 Months of Age
Reason You Want It:To be honest, it was because his design seemed to say to me "Egyptian." I've recently been thoroughly interested in the history of Ancient Egypt, and now anything Egyptian related fascinates me. I was meaning to create for myself an Egyptian-based character, but once I saw the rich gold color of the foal's coat with the dark markings I could not have been more drawn to him.
The design is spectacular. I've always been a sucker for those neat lines of dots, and even more so when they coordinate with some form of line. And the green spot on his shoulder is vibrant against his bright golden coat, bringing out a beautiful vivid contrast. It brings to mind, for me, a golden piece of jewelry with a jade stone encrusted elegantly into it.

Jahi♂About himAlways has he been raised with the knowledge that he is pure. Pure of blood, and pure of spirit. And that for generations his lineage has been carefully selected to be the example to the world of the earth's most perfect horse. As his name implies he was taught to be dignified, even before he could support himself on his spindly legs, and due to his lack of early childhood enjoyment he is a solemn young colt. He speaks with honesty, and learned the harsh way from his mother that dishonesty had a punishment that he found quite distressing.
And though he's unaware of himself doing it, he, like all of his pure lineage, holds himself in higher esteem than any other breed of horse. He considers it amusingly absurd to even consider
speaking to a horse that was not of pure Egypian Arabian bloodlines. If anything one might call him a prince of horses, though that title does not exist to him or any of his lineage. In fact, to his father Astennu he is a nobody child. Simply one of many to be produced to keep the bloodlines alive. Astennu is no more aware of Jahi's existence than he is of man's interference with the breeding of pure Egyptian Arabians.
HistoryHe was born to his mother Ghazala at the stroke of one half and three hours into the morning in midsummer. It was not unusual for a pure child to be born with an unusual pattern to their coat, and quite often it set them apart for greatness. The unique patterns adorned naturally to coats was revered as a blessing from Ra that the foal was not to be forgotten and shrugged aside like most children born, but were to be lifted into a high stature and be destined for future breeding with mares who were also adorned with the patterns of Ra's Blessing. And so, because he was born with the patterns of Ra's Blessing, he has been set apart from his father's main herd to live in solitude till he had come of age.
Of course, he wasn't raised in complete solitude. It was more like an oasis branching off the great Nile that served as a safe haven for the "Blessed children" to be raised by their mothers away from the ferocity of the stallions and heir herds. Known to most as the "Oasis of the Blessed"
And thus, since has lived his life among nothing but equally revered horses, he knows only that of a dignified, noble existence. In fact, if he were to even be told of the myriads of mix breed horses that mainly populated the world he would most likely grow weak at the knees with shock and horror.
As he has neared the end of his first year in the Oasis of the Blessed his mother began to more frequently warn him of his affections of any of the little fillies that lived at the oasis, warning him that he should spend less time with them as he grew older to avoid any dangerous happenings. And after a stern thrashing from his mother one day after not heeding her, he hardly ever approached any one of the fillies again.
His time at he Oasis of the Blessed grows shorter each day though, for when he becomes one year of age he will be removed from the oasis and given the beginnings of his future.
