I Don't have a lot of Animal examples because i've only ever designed Humans, if i was to be honest. But i already have a few idea's in mind. That im sure would make cute makos.

Because of the shark hybrid they can breathe underwater but they can also breathe air on land.
So whatever habitat they choose is fine. They wouldn't have to hold their breath underwater.
