I guess I won't be getting any eggs for this event, since I didn't get the egg count right.

At least you have one and that's better than none! Everyone who has eggs, even if it's just one, will be getting some sort of prize in the end. (It shall end once weekend comes because I'll have time to do things then! And why not give more people the chance to collect eggs during the week!)
