The egg Runner had been found was strange alright, the top of it was harder then the bottom. The bottom however had splotches of what seemed to be moss growing, that's strange, maybe it has been in the water recently, it did seem a bit damp as well as having a cool temperature. Small Scratching sounds could be heard coming from the egg and it wiggled slightly. If it hadnt been for the movement it surely could be mistaken for a stone or dead, as it smelled similar to a pond...

Runner looks at the egg, and wonders what will come out. I hope it isn't too scary, she thinks.

Runner looked at the newborn turtle, wondering who it's parents were. "Do you have anyone?" she murmered. It appeared not. The newborn appeared to be male, and Runner named him Yertle.
