Cookie layed beside a foggy window. She watched the fat droplets of rain hit the clear glass in boredom. She sighed, loneliness pricked at her heart. The young shecat stood up and padded towards the nest's back door. She mewed for her owners to let her out despite the large puddles of water that began to accumulate in the backyard. After a minute or so her housefolk gently opened the door for the shecat. She hopped over a few puddles and climbed into the large oak tree that stood in the far corner of the yard. Cookie observed the forest surrounding the large nest.

Fogpaw batted a twig floating in a puddle of water.

Hickorysprout poked her head inside the nursery , "Good morning Jaystep, how are you feeling today?" She walked slowly into the den, trying not to disturb the other sleeping cats.

Alphonse noticed his brother's sad attitude, "Cheer up, I won't eat it all this time!" After some small talk he was ready to get to business. Once he was in running distance from the rabbit he lowered into a hunting crouch. The rogue took a silent step forward, his russet-brown paws leaving an imprint in the muddy land. He swept his tail low on the ground, signaling his brother to the other side of the rabbit.

"I'm feeling fine." Jaystep purred slightly lifting her head, "just bored and lonely." She chuckled.

"Well, I'm sorry to here that. Would you like something from the prey pile, I could fetch it for you?" Hickorysprout mewed to the Queen.

Jaystep shook her head, "No, I'm fine. Thank you." She mew, "so how are you?" She asked the medicine cat trying to start an conversation.

Earlgray was hunting along the edge of RainClans borders. He narrowed his eyes of his prey, a shrew. He narrowed his eyes and yowled at it. Springing himself at it but the shrew escaped and he missed it by five inches. Since no catch Earlgray had a late reaction and landed on his face. He got in a flash before he sprinted off after the shrew. The male did not notice he crossed out of his borders and into unclaimed land. The Brit growled and leaped at it again, this time pinning it down and bit its neck. He did not notice he was hunting near a kittypet.

"That's what you always say pig!" Matt snarled as a comeback before he rolled his green eyes and crouched down. Noticing his brothers signal the Canadian stalked to his position, tail not touchin the ground and he felt his mouth water up by the preys sweet scents. Now in position he looked back at Alphonse and flicked his ear.

[kibblengrits]

"I'm doing well, I woke up with half of my fur drenched in rain." Hickorysprout mewed, a smiling crossing her muzzle. "Besides that no one has gotten sick or injured lately so I've had some time to relax. I'm planning to send Dawnpaw with a warrior to collect some cobwebs later.." She brought her paw up to her face and gave it a swift lick

Cookie's eyes widened in wonder, she watched the cat chase down a small, furry rodent. She gasped as he finished off the smaller animal. Embaressed, she'd noticed that she had been staring. She cleared her throat and greeted the tom, "Hello!" She mewed from atop tree's branch.


Alphonse nodded to his brother, a few heartbeats past before he was bolting towards the rabbit. As he moved he felt as if his claws were cutting through the air. Hunger and impatience drove him to move faster. He was getting closer to the rabbit when he stumbled over a tree root. Cursing under his breath he continued on, hoping his brother was at least closer to catching the rabbit than he.
