Atlantic & Caliber
The trek had been long, exhausting, and had drained nearly all of Caliber's strength. Though had returned to the safety of the Eden lands, Atlantic could barely lift his head, the wound he sustained protecting her and their unborn cubs too much for him.
When she had left, the sight seemed to burn her eyes. The hit that the Alpha of Dairn had laid upon Atlantic seemed to bleed him dry, and she wished she could have borne it for him. She could see it all, smell it all, feel it all, and hear it all as if it had just occurred hours before, instead of the weeks it's been now. What of their children if they did not make it back to the dens? She hadn't come across a single source of water since they came into the lands, and though the cubs still stirred inside her, she could tell that soon they might stop moving altogether. How were they handling this awful journey? Surely not nearly as bad as she was.
Caliber's teeth gritted as Atlantic came up behind her, whining softly. He was strong, his eyes said. We'll get through this. Despite the week or so it had taken her to reach Eden again, his wound had hardly healed up any. Her own body was ragged, her frame thin despite her pregnancy, and her paws blistered and bleeding. The fight with Dairn's Alpha hadn't necessarily been hard, but the female's precious mate had nearly been killed, so it was only right that she felt as exhuasted as he.
"Caliber, my beloved, I can sense your worry."
Atlantic spoke softly to his mate as he gently nosed her with his muzzle.
"Stay still a while, we can rest. I love you, Caliber. I love you so very much."
He let his tongue gently glide across her face. Then he lifted his head up and howled, the sound resonating through the valley, and despite his injury, his call was that of a father.

Blizzard Moon and Sofia.
"I can't believe it!" Sofia growled, throwing herself onto the feather mattresses and silken sheets of her bed. "An arranged marriage! To a commoner! I don't care if he's the wealthiest man in the country, he's still a commoner!"
Her maid, Sakura, simply listened and continued dusting her mistress' vanity. She wondered what the suitor was like; being a servant, she was not allowed to see the girl's suitors.
"And you know what the worst part of this is?" Sofia demanded, sitting bolt upright and looking her maid right in the eye.
Sakura hazarded a guess. "He's a commoner?"
"No, you nitwit! I'm going to have to leave Marlingshire, and I'm not allowed to bring anyone with me!"
Sakura privately thought this a good thing, but she kept her mouth shut and returned to her dusting. It would do her mistress some good to live a life without servants, get a feel of what it was like for the rest of them. Somehow, though, she doubted that the girl would change.
"There's nothing I can do to stop it either," said girl moaned out, sprawled upon the dunes of her silken sheets again. "Father didn't tell me until today, and the ceremony is due to take place tonight." She scowled, and glared at the ceiling. "Go, Sakura. Forget the dust. I want to be alone for a while."
"Yes, mademoiselle." the servant curtsied and left the room, glad to be rid of Sofia's presence.

Blizzard Moon fiddled aimlessly with the corner of his cloak as the carriage bounced along the road towards Eddleforde Castle, the home of his wife-to-be. He wasn't sure of what she would be like, whether or not she would welcome him; her father had assured him that she was well-behaved, but he knew he could not trust fathers anxious to wed their daughters.
Beside him, his brother Lunis gazed mildly out of the carriage window, watching the violet-tinged Eddleforde Moor roll past. Lunis was to be his witness to the signing of the contract that would bind them together for eternity; he seemed unfazed by the thought of witnessing such an important event, whereas Blizzard Moon himself was nervous at the prospect of the contract himself.
"Eddleforde Castle, sir." One of the horses pulling the carriage neighed suddenly, pulling the bridegroom out of his reverie. A footman was waiting by the gate, and promptly opened the carriage door, allowing him and his brother to step out. The family was waiting for him, the father leading the veiled bride on his arm, with the two sisters, wearing sky-blue dresses, standing behind her. They all bowed in his direction as he stepped out, and Blizzard Moon returned the gesture, before stepping aside to allow his brother off of the carriage.
And... I have insane writer's block, and I don't know what to write next.
