Owlstar followed the two cats in silence, still on the shock that their medicine cat was gone.

Eagleflight's eyes lit up when he saw a fish. His paw dashed out and missed it, splashing water on the shore. "It's the shadows," he murmured, trying to save his pride.

Waterheart shuddered. Who will deliver my kits now?

"I'm sure," Jayclaw said, chuckling slightly. He poised carefully over the water.

Oceanpaw looked around as she finished the elders bedding. Will anyone talk to me? She wondered as she went back to the medicine cats den.

Leafpaw followed Oceanpaw into the medicine den, trotting quickly to catch up. "Hey, what happened?" She asked lightly, hoping it not to come off rudely.
