Bear run Icelandic Tolters is looking for some breeding artists to help make it less frustrating to wait to get a breeding slot from an artist. Please understand that if you win you will only be doing breedings, not adoptables.
End Date:CLOSED FOR JUDGING please do not post any new entries
The foals created through this contest will be "Demo" foals and will not take any breeding slots away from the parents. Once winners are selected, owners of the horses that were used as parents have the option to chose ONE foal made by one of the winners (as long as at least one of your horses is a parent to the foal) and have it transferred to the main adopt topic. The parents of the foal will be gifted special slots so that none of their official slots are used (it will be noted on the parents' adoption pages that they are gifted the slot(s) )
Guidelines
Entrants can make up to 10 foals
Entrants will be required to do at least two foals that use pre-picked pairings (you will see what I mean below). They must be two different pairings, you cannot make two foals from the same pre-picked pairing. Your other entries can be from pairings that you pick yourselves, but you cannot make more than two foals from the same pairing. Please list the foal's coat color in the title of your entry. Please try and put all your designs under the same cover (it doesn't have to be anything fancy, it just makes judging easier)
Rules
-Only use the pairings provided to create your foals
-If you win and also wish to keep a foal that is from one of your horses, it must be one made by a different winner (to prevent creating custom foals)
-Use the Coat color calculator to determine the possible coats (you can either use random.com to decide which coat to use from the list you get, or you can pick one yourself). Some of the horses at bear run have dilutions or other genes that aren't listed on the generator. If the parent(s) have a gene that isn't available (sooty, for example) then you may add it to the foal's coat if you want to. For those of you who are a little more familiar with genetics, you can also play around with this generator
-do not tamper with the lines
-make sure you do a grown version of your foal as well. You will do this by posting the foal first, then clicking "color me in" on your drawing so that the adult version will appear as a thumbnail under the foal's image
-Please be sure to identify the parents of the foal in the foal's topic, as well as if they are one of your pre-picked pair entries or not.
The pairings that you may use will be listed in the next post. Please try to create a variety of coats (paint patterns, solids, different kinds of appies, etc)
